히브리서 10:19~10:25

 

19 그러므로 형제들아 우리가 예수의 피를 힘입어 성소에 들어갈 담력을 얻었나니

20 그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살 길이요 휘장은 곧 그의 육체니라

21 또 하나님의 집 다스리는 큰 제사장이 계시매

22 우리가 마음에 뿌림을 받아 악한 양심으로부터 벗어나고 몸은 맑은 물로 씻음을 받았으니

참 마음과 온전한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아가자

 

23 또 약속하신 이는 미쁘시니 우리가 믿는 도리의 소망을 움직이지 말며 굳게 잡고

24 서로 돌아보아 사랑과 선행을 격려하며

25 모이기를 폐하는 어떤 사람들의 습관과 같이 하지 말고

오직 권하여 그 날이 가까움을 볼수록 더욱 그리하자

Let us draw near to God . . . with the full assurance that faith brings. -v. 22

온전한 믿음으로 하나님께 나아가자

 

Jenny’s house is situated on a little country lane,

which is often used in rush hour by drivers

who want to avoid the nearby main road and traffic lights.

 

A few weeks ago workmen arrived to repair the badly damaged road surface,

bringing with them large barriers and “No Entry” signs.

“I was really worried at first,” said Jenny,

“thinking that I would be unable to get my car out until the road work was finished.

But then I went to look at the signs more closely and realized that they said

‘No Entry: Access for Residents only.’ No detours or barriers for me.

I had the right to go in and out whenever I liked because I lived there.

I felt very special!”

 

제니의 집은 많은 운전자들이 러시아워에 근처의 복잡한 큰길과 신호등을 피하기 위해 택하곤 하는

작은 시골길 노변에 위치하고 있습니다.

몇 주 전에 심하게 훼손된 노면을 고치기 위해

인부들이 커다란 통행차단물과 “출입금지” 안내판을 가지고 왔습니다. 제니는 말했습니다.

“혹시 도로공사가 끝나기 전까지 내 차를 빼내지 못할까봐 처음엔 무척 걱정을 했어요.

그런데 그 안내판을 자세히 보니 ‘출입금지: 거주자에 한해 통행가능’이라고 쓰여 있었어요.

나에겐 우회로로 가라거나 통행차단물과 같은 어떤 제한도 없었어요.

내가 여기 살기 때문에 언제든지 드나들 권리가 있다고 생각하니 내가 매우 특별하게 여겨졌어요!”

In the Old Testament, access to God in the tabernacle and the temple was strictly limited. only the high priest could go in through the curtain

and offer sacrifices in the Most Holy Place, and then only once a year.

(Lev. 16:2-20; Heb. 9:25-26).

But at the very moment Jesus died,

the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom,

showing that the barrier between man and God was destroyed forever(Mark 15:38).

 

구약에 보면 성막이나 성전에서 하나님께 나아가는 것이 엄격히 제한되어 있었습니다.

오직 대제사장만이 일 년에 한번 휘장을 지나 지성소에 제물을 바칠 수 있었습니다(레 16:2-20; 히 9:25-26). 그러나 예수님이 돌아가신 바로 그 순간, 제단의 휘장이 위에서 아래로 찢어지며

하나님과 인간 사이의 장벽도 함께 영원히 무너졌습니다(막 15:38).

Because of Christ’s sacrifice for our sins,

all those who love and follow Him can come into His presence at any time.

He has given us the right of access.

 

그리스도께서 우리의 죄를 위해 희생하셨기에,

주님을 사랑하고 따르는 모든 자들은 주님 앞에 언제든지 나올 수 있게 되었습니다.

주님께서 우리에게 주님께 다가갈 수 있는 권리를 주신 것입니다.  -Marion Stroud

 

Lord, thank You for paying such a price

to enable me to have unrestricted entry into Your presence!

 

주님, 제가 주님 앞으로 제한받지 않고 나아갈 수 있도록 해주시기 위해 치르신 그 큰 희생에 감사드립니다.

 

Access to God’s throne is always open.

 

하나님의 보좌로 나아가는 길은 항상 열려 있다.
