하늘에서 오는 능력

거룩한 능력, 성령의 능력이 제자들에게 주어졌던 것처럼

오늘날 그것은 올바로 구하는 모든 자들에게 주어질 것이다.

이 능력만이 우리를 구원받는 지혜가 있게 하고 하늘 궁정에 적합하게 해 줄 수 있다.

그리스도께서는 우리를 거룩하게 해 줄 축복을 우리에게 주시기를 원하신다.

그분께서는

“내가 이것을 너희에게 이름은 내 기쁨이 너희 안에 있어 너희 기쁨을 충만하게 하려함이니라”(요 15:11)고 말씀하신다.

성령 안에서의 기쁨은 건강을 주는 기쁨이요, 생명을 주는 기쁨이다.

당신의 영을 우리에게 주심으로써 하나님께서는 당신 자신을 우리에게 주시고,

당신 자신을 세상에 건강과 생명을 주기 위한 거룩한 감화의 근원을 만드신다.

하나님께서 당신의 선물들을 그대들에게 그처럼 후하게 주실 때,

그대들은 나누어줌으로써 증가된 그 선물들을 주신 분에게로 되돌려주기 위함이라는 사실을 기억하라.

다른 사람들의 생애에 빛과 기쁨과 평안을 가져다 주라.

매일 우리는, 저장해 두기 위해서나 그분의 축복을 하나님의 자녀들에게서 빼앗기 위해서가 아니라

다른 사람들에게 온전히 풍성한 그대로 전달해 주기 위하여 하늘의 선물을 받을 준비를 갖출 수 있도록

자아를 낮추는 훈련이 필요하다.

우리가 마음을 열어 받아들일 필요, 다시 말하자면 나누어 주기 위한 열망으로 열렬해질 필요가

지금보다 더한 때가 있겠는가?

 

 

Power from on High

 

 

As the divine endowment--the power of the Holy Spirit--was given to the disciples, so it will today be given to all who seek aright. This power alone is able to make us wise unto salvation and to fit us for the courts above. Christ wants to give us a blessing that will make us holy. "These things have I spoken unto you," He says, "that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." John 15:11. Joy in the Holy Spirit is health-giving, life-giving joy. In giving us His Spirit, God gives us Himself, making Himself a fountain of divine influences, to give health and life to the world.

As God so liberally bestows His gifts on you, remember that it is in order that you may return them to the Giver, multiplied by being imparted. Bring into the lives of others light and joy and peace. Every day we need the discipline of self-humiliation, that we may be prepared to receive the heavenly gift, not to hoard it, not to rob God's children of His blessing, but to give it in all its rich fullness to others. When more than now shall we need a heart open to receive, aching, as it were, with its longing to impart? – Testimonies for the Churches Volumn 7, 273.
