끊임없이 전진하는 사람의 신앙

 

게으른 영혼은 유혹에 쉽게 굴복하지만

고상한 목표와 목적에 열중하는 사람의 생애에는 악이 발붙일 곳을 거의 찾지 못한다.

끊임없이 전진하는 사람의 신앙은 약화되지 아니한다.

이는 그가 사방에서 범사에 당신의 선하신 목적을 성취하시는 무한하신 하나님의 사랑을 깨닫는 까닭이다. 하나님의 참된 종들은 흔들리지 않는 결심을 가지고 일한다.

그 까닭은 그들이 끊임없이 은혜의 보좌를 의지하기 때문이다.

 

하나님께서는 우리 인간의 방편으로는 감당하지 못할 모든 위급한 때를 위하여

거룩한 도우심을 준비하셨다.

하나님께서는 성령을 주셔서 우리가 난국에 처해 있을 때 도와주시고

우리의 소망과 확신을 굳게 하시며 우리의 정신을 밝히고 우리의 마음을 순결하게 하신다.

 

하나님께서는 기회를 마련하시고 일의 통로를 여신다.

만일 당신의 백성이 당신의 섭리의 표적을 바라보고 즐겨 당신과 협력하기만 하면

그들은 커다란 결과를 볼 것이다.

 

 

The Faith of Him Who Is Constantly Advancing

 

 

The soul that is indolent falls an easy prey to temptation; but in the life that has a noble aim, an absorbing purpose, evil finds little foothold. The faith of him who is constantly advancing does not weaken; for above, beneath, beyond, he recognizes Infinite Love, working out all things to accomplish His good purpose. God's true servants work with a determination that will not fail because the throne of grace is their constant dependence.

God has provided divine assistance for all the emergencies to which our human resources are unequal. He gives the Holy Spirit to help in every strait, to strengthen our hope and assurance, to illuminate our minds and purify our hearts. He provides opportunities and opens channels of working. If His people are watching the indications of His providence, and are ready to co-operate with Him, they will see mighty results. – Prophets and Kings, 660.
