그분은 우리가 구하기 전에 우리의 필요를 아심

내일과 내일의 필요에 대하여 염려할 필요가 없다.
그대의 의무를 이행하라. 그리고 하나님을 신뢰하라.
이는 주님께서 그대에게 무엇이 필요한가를 아시기 때문이다.

… 그분은 어머니가, 앓고 있는 아기를 연민으로 돌보고 있는 것보다도 더 깊은 연민으로

우리를 돌보고 계신다. …
하나님께서는 당혹과 고통 가운데 친구가 되시며, 걱정 속에 보호자가 되시며

우리에게 보이지 않는 수천가지 위험 가운데서 우리의 보존자가 되신다.

하나님은 연약한 자를 도와주시고, 힘이 없는 사람들에게 힘을 주신다.

시련과 투쟁과 빈곤의 극심한 싸움터에서 싸우는 하나님의 일군들은 반드시 그만큼 더 큰 보호를 받는다.
열띤 투쟁 가운데서 힘써 일하는 사람들에게

하나님은 “여호와는 너를 지키시는 자라 여호와께서 네 우편에서 네 그늘이 되신다”고 하신다.

우리 주께서 우리의 특별한 필요에 순응하셨다.
그는 우리 우편에 있는 그늘이시다.
그는 우리 곁에 꼭 붙어 걸으시며 우리의 모든 필요를 공급하시려고 준비하고 계신다.

주는 그를 위하여 즐거운 마음으로 봉사하는 사람들 곁에 매우 가까이 오신다.

그는 모든 사람을 알고 계시며 그 이름까지 알고 계신다.

오, 참으로 놀랍도다. 우리가 가진 그리스도의 부드러운 사랑의 보증이여!

He Knows our Needs Before we Ask

 It is no less unreasonable to be troubled about the morrow and its needs.
Do your duty, and trust in God; for He knows of what things you have need.

... He watches over us with more tenderness than does a mother over an afflicted child....
God is a friend in perplexity and affliction, a protector in distress, a preserver in the thousand dangers that are unseen to us.

God helps the feeble, and strengthens those who have no strength. In the fields where the trials and the conflicts and poverty are the greatest, God’s workmen must have increased protection.
To those laboring in the heat of the conflict, God says, “The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.” 

 Our Lord adapts Himself to our special needs.
He is a shade on our right hand.
He walks close by our side, ready to supply all our necessities.

He comes very near to those who are engaged in willing service for Him. He knows every one by name. O what assurances we have of the tender love of Christ.
