염려와 걱정

우리를 죽이는 것은 일이 아니라 염려이다.
염려를 피하는 유일한 길은 모든 어려움을 그리스도께로 가져가는 것이다.

어두운 측면을 보지 않도록 하자.

명랑한 정신을 계발하도록 하자.

하나님께서는 이생의 사물들을 사용하는 데 신중하고 조심성을 갖는 것을 정죄하지 않으신다.

그러나 세속적인 사물들에 관하여 지나친 염려와 부당한 걱정은 그분의 뜻과 조화되지 않는다.…

염려하지 말라.

어려움과 압력이 올 때 외관을 바라보고 불평함으로써 그대는 병들고 연약해진 믿음을 드러내고 있다.

그대의 말과 그대의 행함으로 그대의 믿음을 이기기 어렵다는 사실을 보여 주라.

주님은 자원이 풍부하시다.

그분은 온 세상을 소유하신다.

빛과 능력을 가지신 분을 쳐다보라.

그분은 빛과 사랑을 전달하려고 애쓰는 모든 사람을 복 주실 것이다.

하나님께서는 당신이 창조하신 모든 것을 돌보시고 각각의 필요를 채워 주신다.

…하나님께서는 모든 눈물을 주시하시고 모든 미소를 보신다.

의무를 성실하게 감당하는 것이 내일의 시련을 위하여 가장 잘 대비하는 것이다. 

내일의 부담과 염려를 모두 모아서 오늘의 짐에 첨가하지 말라
“한 날 괴로움은 그날에 족하니라”(마 6: 34).-

Worry and Anxiety

It is not work that kills; it is worry.
The only way to avoid worry is to take every trouble to Christ. Let us not look on the dark side. Let us cultivate cheerfulness of spirit....

God does not condemn prudence and foresight in the use of the things of this life; but the feverish care, the undue anxiety, with respect to worldly things is not in accordance with his will....

Do not worry. By looking at appearances and complaining when difficulty and pressure come, you reveal a sickly, enfeebled faith. By your words and your works show that your faith is invincible.

The Lord is rich in resources. He owns the world. Look to Him who has light, and power, and efficiency. He will bless everyone who is seeking to communicate light and love....

God cares for everything and sustains everything that He has created....No tears are shed that He does not notice. There is no smile that He does not mark....

The faithful discharge of today’s duties is the best preparation for tomorrow’s trials. Do not gather together all tomorrow’s liabilities and cares and add them to the burden of today.
“Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34).
