하나님께서는 모든 시련을 달아 보심

“사람이 감당할 시험 밖에는 너희에게 당한 것이 없나니

오직 하나님은 미쁘사 너희가 감당치 못할 시험 당함을 허락하지 아니하시고

시험 당할 즈음에 또한 피할 길을 내사 너희로 능히 감당하게 하시느니라" (고전 10:13).

 각자는 어떤 점으로 보아 다른 사람과 상관 없이 싸워야 할 자신의 싸움이 있고

얻어야 할 개인적 그리스도인 경험이 있다.

하나님께서는 어떤 다른 사람이 우리를 위해 대신하여줄 수 없는

각자가 스스로 얻어야 할 공과를 가지고 계시다.

우리의 하늘 아버지께서는 모든 시련이 그의 자녀들에게 임하기 전에 그 시련을 측량하고 달아 보신다.

하나님께서는 자기의 시험 가운데서 서야 할 자들의 환경과 힘을 고려하신다.

그리하여 그가 대적할 수 있는 기능 이상으로 더 큰 시험은 결코 허락하시지 아니하신다.

만일 한 영혼이 지나치게 짐을 져 그가 지치게 되는 것은 하나님께 책임이 있는 것이 아니요

그 시험을 받는 영혼이 깨어 있지 아니하며 기도하지 아니하고,

또한 믿음으로써 하나님께서 자기를 위하여 풍부히 쌓아둔 양식을 자기의 것으로 만들지 아니하는 까닭이다.

그리스도께서는 싸우고 있는 신자들에 대하여 결코 실패하지 않으신다.

신자들은 하나님의 허락들을 주장하여야만 하며 주님의 이름 안에서 원수들을 대하여야만 한다.

 시련이 어떠한 성질의 것이든지, 제 아무리 극심한 것이라 할찌라도

하나님의 과분한 호의를 증거하는 한줄기의 빛이라도 우리 마음에 비추일 때에는 그 시련들을 능가할 것이다.

God Measures Every Trial

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.

Each one has his own battles to fight, his own Christian experience to gain, independent in some respects from any other soul; and God has lessons for each to gain for himself that no other one can gain for him.

Our heavenly Father measures and weighs every trial before He permits it to come upon the believer. He considers the circumstances and the strength of the one who is to stand under the proving and test of God, and He never permits the temptations to be greater than the capacity of resistance.

If the soul is overborne, the person overpowered, this can never be charged to God, ... but the one tempted was not vigilant and prayerful and did not appropriate by faith the provisions God had abundantly in store for him.

Christ never failed a believer in his hour of combat. The believer must claim the promise and meet the foe in the name of the Lord.... 

A single ray of the evidences of the undeserved favor of God shining into our hearts will overbalance every trial of whatever character and however severe it may be.
