그분을 찬양하라

우리의 창조주께서는 그분의 피조물들에게 당신이 선택하시는 대로 행하실 정당한 권리를 갖고 계신다.
인간은 마음대로 결정할 권리가 없지만 그분은 뜻대로 주관할 권리가 있다.

그러나 그분은 엄격한 재판관이나 가혹하고 까다로운 채권자가 아니시다.

그분은 바로 사랑의 원천이시며 무수한 축복의 시여자시다.

그대가 그런 사랑을 멸시한 것이 가장 큰 슬픔의 원인이 되었고,

하나님의 놀라운 자비에 대하여 그대들의 마음 속에서 감사와 찬양이 우러나지 못하게 되었던 것이다.

우리는 그분의 모든 은혜를 받기에 합당하지 못하다.

그러나 우리가 합당하지 못하고 배은 망덕으로 냉랭할지라도 그 은혜들은 우리에게 계속되고 있다.

그러므로 그대들은 마치 일을 가혹하게 시키는 엄한 주인에게 매인 종들처럼 불평하지 말라.

예수님은 선하시다. 그분을 찬양하라.

그대들의 얼굴을 도우시는 분이시며 그대들의 하나님이신 분을 찬양하라.

Praise Him

Our Creator justly claims the right to do as He chooses with the creatures of His hand.
He has a right to govern as He will, and not as man chooses. But He is not a severe judge, a harsh, exacting creditor.

He is the very fountain of love, the giver of blessings innumerable. 

It should cause you the deepest grief that you have disregarded such love, and have not let gratitude and praise well up in your hearts for the marvelous goodness of God. 

We do not deserve all His benefits; but they are continued to us, notwithstanding our unworthiness and cruel ingratitude. 

Then cease to complain as though you were bond servants under a hard taskmaster. 

Jesus is good. Praise Him. Praise Him who is the health of your countenance, and your God.
