그리스도를 섬기는데는 위안과 기쁨이 있다

 

 

우리는 시련과 곤란과 비애와 슬픔에 대한 우리 자신의 기록을 보관해 둘 필요가 없다.

이 모든 것들은 책에 기록되어 하늘에 보관되어 있다. 

 

우리가 불쾌한 것들을 회상하고 있는 동안,

매순간 우리를 둘러 있는 하나님의 긍휼과 자비, 천사들도 경탄해 마지 않는 사랑,

곧 하나님께서 당신의 아들을 우리를 위하여 내어주신 사랑과 같은 유쾌한 생각들이

우리의 기억에서 사라져 버리게 된다.

 

만일 그리스도의 일꾼된 그대가

다른 사람들이 당하는 것보다 더욱 큰 근심과 시련을 당하고 있다고 생각하거든

그대는 이와 같은 짐을 지고 있지 않는 사람들이 알지 못하는 평안을 가지고 있다는 것을 기억하라. 

 

그리스도를 섬기는데는 위안과 기쁨이 있다.

그분과 함께 하는 생활은 결코 실패하지 않는다는 것을 세상에 보여 주라.

There Is Comfort And Joy In The Service Of Christ

 

We need not keep our own record of trials and difficulties, griefs, and sorrows.

All these things are written in the books, and heaven will take care of them.

 

While we are counting up the disagreeable things,

many things that are pleasant to reflect upon are passing from memory,

such as the merciful kindness of God surrounding us every moment

and the love over which angels marvel, that God gave His Son to die for us. 

 

If as workers for Christ you feel that you have had greater cares and trials

than have fallen to the lot of others,

remember that for you there is a peace unknown to those who shun these burdens. 

 

There is comfort and joy in the service of Christ.

Let the world see that life with Him is no failure.
