각기 다른 사람들의 마음을 현명하게 다룸

 

 

우리 모두는 성향이 서로 다른 마음을 가진 자들을 현명하게 다루는 법을 알 수 있도록,

그들이 하나님의 말씀을 바르게 이해하고 참된 그리스도인 생활을 살 수 있도록 돕기 위해,

우리의 최선의 노력들을 경주할 수 있도록, 품성과 태도를 연구할 필요가 있다.

 

우리는 그들과 함께 성경을 연구하고,

그들의 마음을 현세적인 사물들에서 돌이켜 그들의 영원한 관심사들로 돌려야 한다.

그분을 위하여 선교사들이 되는 것, 도움이 필요한 사람들과 친숙하게 되는 것이

하나님의 자녀들의 의무이다.

 

누군가 시험 아래서 비틀거리고 있다면, 그의 경우는 조심스럽게 처리되고 현명하게 다루어져야 한다. 왜냐하면 그의 영원한 이익이 걸려 있기 때문이며,

그를 위해 일하는 사람들의 말과 행실은 생명에서 생명에 이르는 향기이거나

사망에서 사망에 이르는 냄새가 될 수도 있기 때문이다.

 

To Deal Judiciously With Different Minds

 

We all need to study character and manner

that we may know how to deal judiciously with different minds,

that we may use our best endeavors to help them

to a correct understanding of the Word of God and to a true Christian life.

 

We should read the Bible with them and

draw their minds away from temporal things to their eternal interests.

It is the duty of God’s children to be missionaries for Him,

to become acquainted with those who need help.

 

If one is staggering under temptation,

his case should be taken up carefully and managed wisely;

for his eternal interest is at stake,

and the words and acts of those laboring for him may be a savor of life unto life or

of death unto death.
