우리는 아담이 범죄한 후에

하나님께서 사람에게 정력과 정욕의 새 질서를 주셨다고 생각해서는 안 되는데,

이는 하나님께서 인류 속에 죄된 성향을 심으시기 위해 간섭하신 것처럼 보이기 때문이다.

그리스도께서는 인간이 범죄하자마자 회심의 사역을 시작하셔서,

하나님의 율법에 대한 순종과 그리스도를 믿는 믿음을 통하여

그들이 잃어버린 하나님의 형상을 되찾을 수 있도록 하셨다.

 

각사람은 두 깃발 중 어느 하나를 선택해야 함―여기에 중요한 문제가 있다.

여기 서로 대치 중인 두 큰 세력, 하나님의 대군(大君) 예수 그리스도와 악의 임금 사단이 있다.

여기에 공개적인 투쟁이 이르러 온다. 세상에는 오로지 두 부류 밖에는 없다.

 

모든 인류는 암흑이 임금의 깃발이든지 아니면 예수 그리스도의 깃발이든지,

두 깃발 중 어느 하나 아래 정렬하게 될 것이다.

 

 

Each Must Choose one of Two Banners

 

We are not to suppose that since the transgression of Adam, God has given to

human beings a new order of energies and passions, for then it would appear that

God had interfered to implant in the human race sinful propensities.

Christ began His work of conversion as soon as man transgressed,

that through obedience to the law of God and faith in Christ

they might regain the lost image of God.

Each Must Choose one of Two Banners—Here is the great issue. Here are the two great powers confronting each other, the Prince of God, Jesus Christ, and the prince of darkness, Satan. Here comes the open conflict. There are but two classes in the world, and every human being will range under one of the two banners, the banner of the prince of darkness or the banner of Jesus Christ.
