사단은 마음에 끼치는 마음의 영향력을 사용함

 

하늘에서 쫓겨난 사단은 그의 왕국을 이 세상에 세웠고,

그 때 이래로 지금까지 인류를 하나님께 대한 충성에서 돌아서도록 꾀이기 위해

지칠줄 모르고 노력하고 있다.

그는 자신이 하늘에서 사용했던 동일한 능력-마음에 끼치는 마음의 영향-을 사용한다.

사람들은 그들의 동료 인간들을 유혹하는 자들이 된다.

사단의 강력한, 타락시키는 생각들이 마음에 품어지며,

그 생각들은 엄청나고 강력한 능력을 발휘한다.

이런 생각들의 영향 아래서 사람들은 동맹 관계와 노동 조합과 비밀 결사 단체로 서로 묶여지고 있다.

 

세상에는 하나님께서 더 오랫동안 관용하지 않을 매체들이 활동하고 있다.

이기적 목적을 위하여 능력들을 사용하도록 만드는 것이 사단의 방책임―

사단은 영혼들을 빠뜨리기 위하여 만반의 준비가 갖추어진,

새 사냥꾼의 올무와 같은 그물을 가지고 있다.

 

사람들이 하나님께서 주신 능력들을 그분을 영화롭게 하는 데 바치기보다는,

이기적 목적을 위하여 사용하도록 하는 것이 사단이 깊은 연구 끝에 고안해 낸 방책이다.

 

하나님께서는 사람들이 평강과 기쁨 뿐 아니라

영원한 이익을 가져다 줄 일에 종사하게 하시기를 원하신다.

그러나 사단은 우리가 유익되지 못할 것에 사용하는 자들과 함께 멸망해 버릴 것에

우리의 힘을 집중하기를 원한다.

 

Satan Uses Influences of Mind on Mind

Cast out of heaven, Satan set up his kingdom in this world,

and ever since he has been untiringly striving to seduce human beings

from their allegiance to God.

He uses the same power that he used in heaven—the influence of mind on mind.

Men become tempters of their fellowmen.

The strong, corrupting sentiments of Satan are cherished,

and they exert a masterly, compelling power.

Under the influence of these sentiments, men bind up with one another in confederacies, in trade unions, and in secret societies.

There are at work in the world agencies that God will not much longer tolerate.

Satan’s Studied Purpose to Employ Powers for Selfish Ends—

Satan has nets and snares, like the snares of the fowler, all prepared to entrap souls.

It is his studied purpose that men shall employ their God-given powers for selfish ends

rather than yield them to glorify God.

God would have men engage in a work that will bring them peace and joy

and will render them eternal profit;

but Satan wants us to concentrate our efforts for that which profiteth not,

for the things that perish with the using.
