탁월한 거룩한 능력이 있을 것

 

인간의 견해로 볼 때에 그 나라의 영적 부흥에 대한 전망은

마치 오늘날 지구상 어느 미개척지에서 수고하고 있는 하나님의 종들 앞에 있는 전망처럼 희망이 없었다.

그러나 그리스도의 교회는 진리를 선포하기 위한 하나님의 기관이며

하나님께로부터 특별한 사업을 행할 능력을 받았으므로

교회가 하나님께 충성하고 그분의 계명에 순종한다면 그 속에 탁월한 거룩한 능력이 있을 것이다.

만일 교회가 참으로 충성한다면 교회를 대항할 권세는 없을 것이다.

원수의 세력은 겨가 회오리바람을 저항할 수 없는 것처럼 교회를 뒤엎을 수 없을 것이다.

만일 교회가 세상에 대한 모든 충의를 버리고 그리스도의 의를 옷 입는다면

교회 앞에는 빛나고 영광스러운 날이 동터올 것이다.

 

하나님께서는 믿지 않는 자들과 희망이 없는 자들을 격려할 당신을 믿는 충실한 사람들을 부르신다.

소망을 품은 갇혔던 자들아 여호와께로 돌아가라. 하나님 곧 살아 계신 하나님께 능력을 구하라.

하나님의 권능과 그분의 즐겨 주시는 구원에 대한 흔들리지 않는 겸손한 신앙을 나타내라.

우리가 믿음으로 하나님의 능력을 붙잡을 때에

하나님께서는 가장 희망이 없고 절망적으로 보이는 전망도 놀랍게 변화시킬 것이다.

하나님께서는 당신의 이름의 명예를 걸고 이 일을 행하실 것이다.

 

 

There Will Dwell the Excellency of Divine Power

 

 

From a human point of view the outlook for the spiritual regeneration of the nation was as hopeless as is the outlook today before God's servants who are laboring in the dark places of the earth. But the church of Christ is God's agency for the proclamation of truth; she is empowered by Him to do a special work; and if she is loyal to God, obedient to His commandments, there will dwell within her the excellency of divine power. If she will be true to her allegiance, there is no power that can stand against her. The forces of the enemy will be no more able to overwhelm her than is the chaff to resist the whirlwind.

There is before the church the dawn of a bright, glorious day, if she will put on the robe of Christ's righteousness, withdrawing from all allegiance to the world.

God calls upon His faithful ones, who believe in Him, to talk courage to those who are unbelieving and hopeless. Turn to the Lord, ye prisoners of hope. Seek strength from God, the living God. Show an unwavering, humble faith in His power and His willingness to save. When in faith we take hold of His strength, He will change, wonderfully change, the most hopeless, discouraging outlook. He will do this for the glory of His name. – Prophets and Kings, 259-260.
