우리는 주의를 끄는 수많은 문제에서 돌아서야 한다.

이것들은 시간을 허비하게 하고 의문을 일으키게 하지만,

끝에 가서는 아무것도 남는 것이 없다.

 

최고의 관심사들은 면밀한 주의력과 정력을 요구하고 있다.

그러나 그것들은 너무도 자주 하찮은 것들로 투입되고 있다....

 

우리는 내세를 위해 살아야 한다.

되는 대로, 목표 없이 사는 것은 대단히 비참한 일이다.

우리는 삶의 목적, 목적이 있는 삶을 원한다.

 

하나님께서는 우리 모두가 자기를 희생하고, 자신은 덜 돌아보면서,

자기와 이기적인 이익은 더 잊고, 선을 행하도록 도우신다.

이는, 우리가 이곳에서 받기를 기대하는 명예를 위해서가 아니라

그것이 우리 인생의 목표이고 우리 인생의 목적을 이루게 해줄 것이기 때문이다.

 

이기심을 제거해 주시라고 우리의 기도를 매일 하나님께로 상달드리자.

🌻Aroma of Life • Live for a Purpose🌻

 

We must turn away from a thousand topics that invite attention. There are matters that consume time and arouse inquiry, but end in nothing.

 

The highest interests demand the close attention and energy that are so often given to comparatively insignificant things....

 

We should live for the next world. It is so wretched to live a haphazard, aimless life. We want an object in life—to live for a purpose.

 

God help us all to be self-sacrificing, less self-caring, more forgetful of self and selfish interest, and to do good, not for the honor we expect to receive here but because this is the object of our life and will answer the end of our existence.

 

Let our daily prayer go up to God that He will divest us of selfishness.
