애통하는 자는 복이 있나니...

?|생명의 향기| 애통하는 자는 복이 있나니...?

“하나님께 징계받는 자에게는 복이 있나니…
하나님은 아프게 하시다가 싸매시며 상하게 하시다가 그 손으로 고치시나니

여섯 가지 환난에서 너를 구원하시며 일곱 가지 환난이라도 그 재앙이 네게 미치지 않게 하시며”

(욥기 5장 17~19절).

예수께서는 상처를 입은 모든 사람을 찾아 치료해 주신다.

사별과 고통과 고난의 생애도 그분의 황홀한 임재 앞에서는 환하게 될 수 있다.

우리의 하늘 아버지께서는 슬픔을 당한 자들에게 결코 무심하지 않으시다.

다윗이 감람산에 올라가 “머리를 가리우고 맨발로 울며 행”(사무엘하 15장 30절)할 때,

주께서는 동정 어린 눈으로 그를 보고 계셨다.

다윗은 베옷을 입었으며 심한 양심의 가책을 느꼈다.

겉으로 나타난 그의 겸비(謙卑)는 그의 회개를 증거해 주었다.
그는 울먹이는 말로 자기의 사정을 하나님께 고했다.
그러자 주님께서는 당신의 종을 버리지 않으셨다.

다윗이 무한한 사랑이신 하나님께 가장 사랑스러워 보인 때는

생명을 구하기 위해, 그의 아들에게 선동되어 반역에 가담한 원수들을 피해 도망가면서

마음에 찔림을 받은 때였다.

주님께서는 “무릇 내가 사랑하는 자를 책망하여 징계하노니 그러므로 네가 열심을 내라 회개하라”(계 3: 19)

고 말씀하신다.
그리스도께서는 통회하는 마음에 힘을 주시고 슬퍼하는 심령을 고결하게 하심으로

마침내 당신께서 거할 수 있게 만드신다....

우리도 시련이 유익이 됨을 배우며, 주님의 징계를 경시하지 말고,

하나님께 책망 받을 때 낙심하지 않도록 해야 한다.

Blessed are they that mourn...

“Blessed is the one whom God corrects...
For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal. From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will touch you." Job 5:17-19.

To every stricken one, Jesus comes with the ministry of healing. The life of bereavement, pain, and suffering may be brightened by precious revealings of His presence.

Our heavenly Father is never unmindful of those whom sorrow has touched. When David went up the Mount Olivet, “and wept as he went up, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot” (2 Samuel 15:30), the Lord was looking pityingly upon him.

David was clothed in sackcloth, and his conscience was scourging him. The outward signs of humiliation testified of his contrition.
In tearful, heartbroken utterances he presented his case to God, and the Lord did not forsake His servant.

Never was David dearer to the heart of Infinite Love than when, conscience-smitten, he fled for his life from his enemies, who had been stirred to rebellion by his own son.

The Lord says, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” Revelation 3:19.
Christ lifts up the contrite heart and refines the mourning soul until it becomes His abode....

We also need to learn that trials mean benefit, and not to despise the chastening of the Lord nor faint when we are rebuked of Him.
