정신치료

질병의 치료에 있어서 정신적 영향의 효과를 결코 간과해서는 안된다.

올바르게 활용만 하면, 이 영향은 투병(鬪病)을 위한 가장 효과적 기능 중 하나가 된다. 

하나님께서는 사람들이 당신 자신과 직접적인 관계를 맺기를 바라신다.

그분께서는 사람들을 취급하실 때 개인적 책임의 원칙을 인정하신다.

그분께서는 개인의 자주성을 권장하고 개인적 지도의 필요를 깨우쳐 주고자 하신다.

그분께서는 사람들을 하나님과 교제하게 하심으로써 하나님의 형상으로 변화되기를 바라신다.

그러나 사탄은 이 목적을 좌절시키기 위하여 활동한다.

그는 사람들에게 자신을 의지하게 하고자 노력한다.

사람들의 마음이 하나님께서 떠나갈 때, 시험하는 자는 그들을 자신의 지배 아래 둘 수 있다.

그는 인간을 지배할 수 있다.

 ... 사람의 마음을 창조하신 분께서는 마음의 필요를 아신다.

하나님은 치료해 주실 수 있는 유일의 분이시다.

마음과 육체가 병든 사람들은 그리스도 안에서 회복자를 바라보아야 한다.

그분께서는 “내가 살았고 너희도 살겠음이라”고 말씀하신다(요 14:19).

이것이 우리가 환자들에게 제시해주어야 할 생명이다.

만일 그들이 그리스도를 회복해 주시는 분으로 믿고, 그분과 협력하고, 건강법칙을 완전히 순종하고,

그분을 두려워하는 중에 완전한 성결을 얻고자 노력할 것같으면

그분께서 당신의 생명을 그들에게 나누어 주실 것이라는 사실을 말해 주어야 한다.

우리가 그런 방법으로 그들에게 그리스도를 제시해 줄 때,

우리는 하늘에서 오는 귀중한 능력과 힘을 나누어 주고 있는 것이다.

이것이 육체와 심령을 치료하는 진정한 과학이다.

Mind Cure

In the treatment of the sick the effect of mental influence should not be overlooked. Rightly used, this influence affords one of the most effective agencies for combating disease. 

God desires to bring men into direct relation with Himself. In all His dealings with human beings He recognizes the principle of personal responsibility. He seeks to encourage a sense of personal dependence and to impress the need of personal guidance.
He desires to bring the human into association with the divine, that men may be transformed into the divine likeness.

Satan works to thwart this purpose. He seeks to encourage dependence upon men. When minds are turned away from God, the tempter can bring them under his rule.
He can control humanity. 

... He who made man’s mind knows what the mind needs. God alone is the one who can heal. Those whose minds and bodies are diseased are to behold in Christ the restorer.

“Because I live, He says, “ye shall live also.” John 14:19.

This is the life we are to present to the sick, telling them that if they have faith in Christ as the restorer, if they co-operate with Him, obeying the laws of health, and striving to perfect holiness in His fear, He will impart to them His life.

When we present Christ to them in this way, we are imparting a power, a strength, that is of value; for it comes from above.
This is the true science of healing for body and soul.
