건강 회복에 있어서 하나님과 협력하는 것이 우리의 과업

하나님께서는 그리스도의 선물을 통하여 우리에게 도달할 수 있는 길을 열어 주신

완전한 표준에까지 이르기를 바라신다.

그분께서는 우리로 하여금 올바른 길을 선택하여 하늘의 능력과 연결되고

우리 속에 하나님의 형상이 회복될 수 있는 원칙을 적용하도록 요구하신다. 

그분께서는 당신의 기록된 말씀과 천연계의 위대한 책을 통하여 생명의 법칙을 계시하셨다.

그 원칙에 대한 지식을 얻고, 그 원칙에 순종함으로

심령의 건강은 물론이요 육체의 건강을 회복하는 일에 있어서 그분과 협력하는 것이 우리의 과업이다. 

복음을 순결하고 능력 있는 그대로 받아들일 때, 그것은 죄 때문에 생긴 질병을 고쳐 주는 치료제가 된다.

의의 태양은 “치료하는 광선”을 가지고 떠오르게 된다(말 4:2). 

이 세상이 주는 모든 것은 상한 심령을 고쳐 주고, 마음에 평안을 주고, 걱정을 없애고, 질병을 없애줄 수 없다. 명성, 천재적 재능, 능력, 그 모든 것들은

근심에 눌린 마음을 기쁘게 해 주거나 허물어진 생애를 회복시켜 주는 일에 무력하다. 

심령 속에 있는 하나님의 생명이 사람의 유일한 희망이다.

병자의 마음이 구주께 인도될 때, 그리스도의 평안이 그의 마음을 채우게 된다.

그리하여 주어지는 영적 건강이 육신의 건강을 회복시키는 일에 있어서 하나님의 도우시는 손으로 사용된다.

It is Our Work to Cooperate with God in Restoring Health

God desires us to reach the standard of perfection made possible for us by the gift of Christ. He calls upon us to make our choice on the right side, to connect with heavenly agencies, to adopt principles that will restore in us the divine image. 

In His written word and in the great book of nature He has revealed the principles of life. It is our work to obtain a knowledge of these principles, and by obedience to co-operate with Him in restoring health to the body as well as to the soul. 

When the gospel is received in its purity and power, it is a cure for the maladies that originated in sin. 

The Sun of Righteousness arises, “with healing in His wings.” Malachi 4:2. 

Not all this world bestows can heal a broken heart, or impart peace of mind, or remove care, or banish disease. Fame, genius, talent—all are powerless to gladden the sorrowful heart or to restore the wasted life. 

The life of God in the soul is man’s only hope. 

As the mind of the sufferer is directed to the Saviour, the peace of Christ fills his heart, and the spiritual health that comes to him is used as the helping hand of God in restoring the health of the body.
