믿음의 눈은 그리스도를 항상 현실적으로 보게 함

그리스도께서는 “내가 떠나가는 것이 너희에게 유익이라”고 말씀하셨다.

그렇게 되면 장소 때문에 또는 그리스도와 개인적인 접촉을 할 수 없기 때문에

유익을 얻지 못할 사람은 한 사람도 없을 것이었다. 

구주께서 성령으로 모든 사람에게 가까이 계실 것이었다.

이런 점에서 예수께서는 당신이 승천하지 않으신 것보다 그들에게 더 가까이 계실 것이었다. 
이제 모든 사람은 주를 바라보고 그의 품성을 반사하므로 말미암아 동등하게 은총을 받을 수가 있다. 

믿음의 눈은 현실적으로 주의 자비와 은혜와 오래 참으심과 호의와 사랑을 보게 된다.…

그리고 우리는 바라봄으로 말미암아 주와 같이 변하게 된다.

하나님의 변화시키는 능력이 우리 심령에 역사해야 한다.

우리는 반드시 그리스도의 생애를 연구해야 하며 거룩한 모범을 닮아야 한다. 

우리는 주의 품성의 완전함을 명상해야 하며 그분의 형상으로 변화해야 한다. 
아무도 자신의 뜻이 그리스도의 뜻에 사로잡힌바 되지 않으면 하나님의 나라에 들어가지 못할 것이다. 

하늘은 모든 죄가 없으며 모든 더러움이나 불순한 것이 없는데

만일 우리가 그런 분위기 가운데 살았다면, 만일 우리가 그리스도의 영광을 바라보았다면

우리는 심령 속에 순결함이 있어야 하며 주의 은혜와 의를 통하여 품성 속에 완전함이 있어야 한다. 
우리는 쾌락이나 오락에 심취되어서는 안 되며

그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 예비하러 가신 영광스런 집에 살기에 적합해야 한다. 

만일 우리가 충실하고 다른 사람들을 복되게 하려고 노력하며 선한 일에 부지런하면

그리스도께서 오실 때에 영광과 존귀와 불멸의 면류관을 받을 것이다.”

By the Eye of Faith Christ is Present Ever

Christ said, “It is expedient for you that I go away.” No one could then have any preference because of his location or personal contact with Christ. 

The Saviour would be accessible to all alike, spiritually, and in this sense He would be nearer to us all than if He had not ascended on high. Now all may be equally favored by beholding Him and reflecting His character. 

The eye of faith sees Him ever present, in all His goodness, grace, forbearance, courtesy, and love, those spiritual and divine attributes. And as we behold, we are changed into His likeness.

The converting power of God must be upon our hearts. We must study the life of Christ, and imitate the divine Pattern. We must dwell upon the perfection of His character, and be changed into His image. 
No one will enter the kingdom of God unless his will is brought into captivity to the will of Christ.

Heaven is free from all sin, from all defilement and impurity; and if we would live in its atmosphere, if we would behold the glory of Christ, we must be pure in heart, perfect in character through His grace and righteousness. 
We must not be taken up with pleasure and amusement, but be fitting up for the glorious mansions Christ has gone to prepare for us. 

If we are faithful, seeking to bless others, patient in well-doing, at His coming Christ will crown us with glory, honor, and immortality.
