황폐시키는 우박인가 사랑의 씨앗인가?

음성과 혀는 하나님의 선물이며, 바르게 사용되면 하나님을 위한 능력이 된다.

말은 매우 많은 것을 의미한다.

그것들은 하나님께 대한 사랑, 헌신, 찬양, 선율이나 증오와 복수를 표현할 수 있다.

말은 마음의 생각들을 드러낸다.

그것들은 생명에서 생명에 이르게 하는 향기이거나 사망에서 사망에 이르게 하는 악취가 될 수 있다.

혀는 복의 세계이거나 죄악의 세계이다.

어떤 사람들은 하나님과 매일 교통을 한 후에 그리스도의 온유함으로 옷 입고 나온다.

그들의 말은 그 앞에서 모든 것을 부수어 황폐시키는 우박과 같지 않으며 그들의 입술에서 향기롭게 나온다.

그것들은 사랑과 친절의 씨앗들을 그들이 가는 길을 따라서 흩어 뿌리되, 이 모든 것을 무의식적으로 한다.

이는 그리스도께서 그들의 심령 속에 사시기 때문이다.

그들의 영향력은 눈에 보이는 것보다 더 크다.

세상의 슬픈 통곡이 우리 주변 도처에서 들리고 있다.

죄의 어두움이 우리를 억누르고 있다.

그러므로 우리의 마음은 언제든지 모든 선한 말과 행위를 할 준비를 하고 있어야 한다.

우리는 예수님이 우리와 함께 계시다는 것을 안다.

그분의 성령의 감미로운 영향은 우리의 생각을 가르치고 인도하고 있으며,

우리로 하여금 다른 사람들의 길을 격려하고 밝게 해줄 말들을 하도록 지도하고 있다.

Desolating Hail or Seeds of Love?

The voice and tongue are gifts from God, and if rightly used, they are a power for God.

Words mean very much. They may express love, devotion, praise, melody to God, or hatred and revenge. Words reveal the sentiments of the heart.

They may be a savor of life unto life or of death unto death. The tongue is a world of blessing or a world of iniquity.

Some are seen to come forth from their daily communion with God clothed with the meekness of Christ. Their words are not like a desolating hail, crushing everything before it; they come forth sweetly from their lips.

They scatter seeds of love and kindness all along their path, and that all unconsciously, because Christ lives in their heart. Their influence is felt more than it is seen.

The wails of a world’s sorrow are heard all around us. Sin is pressing its shadow upon us, and our minds must be ready for every good word and work.

We know that we have the presence of Jesus. The sweet influence of His Holy Spirit is teaching and guiding our thoughts, leading us to speak words that will cheer and brighten the pathway of others.
