자라게 하시는 이에게 영광을 (2018년 3월 27일 화요일)

마가복음 4장 26절 ~ 29절    

26또 이르시되 하나님의 나라는 사람이 씨를 땅에 뿌림과 같으니

27그가 밤낮 자고 깨고 하는 중에 씨가 나서 자라되 어떻게 그리 되는 지를 알지 못하느니라

28땅이 스스로 열매를 맺되 처음에는 싹이요 다음에는 이삭이요 그 다음에는 이삭에 충실한 곡식이라

29열매가 익으면 곧 낫을 대나니 이는 추수 때가 이르렀음이니라

Glory to the Grower [자라게 하시는 이에게 영광을]

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything,

but only God, who makes things grow. - 1 Corinthians 3:7

그런즉 심는 이나 물주는 이는 아무 것도 아니로되 오직 자라게 하시는 이는 하나님뿐이니라 - 고전 3:7     

One day, I noticed an unexpected splash of yellow to the right of our driveway.

Six stalks of daffodils, sandwiched between two large stones, bloomed bright and tall.

Because I hadn’t planted, fertilized, or intentionally watered the bulbs,

I couldn’t figure out how or why the flowers had sprouted in our yard.

어느 날 우리 집 진입로 오른편에 생각지도 않았던 화사한 노란 색 꽃들이 보였습니다.

여섯 송이의 수선화가 두 개의 커다란 돌 틈에서 크게 자라 활짝 피어 있었습니다.

내가 심은 것도 아니고 비료를 준 것도 아니며 일부러 물을 준 것도 아니어서,

어떻게 또 왜 우리 집 마당에 피어 있는지 알 수가 없었습니다. 

Jesus illustrated a mystery of spiritual growth in the parable of the growing seed.

He compares the kingdom of God to a farmer scattering seed on the ground(Mark 4:26). The one who scattered the seed may have done what he could to care for the soil.

But Jesus said the seed sprouted whether or not that man slept in, woke up,

or even understood the growth process(vv. 27~28).

The land owner benefited from the harvest(v. 29), though its development didn’t depend on what he did or his understanding of the workings beneath the surface of the soil.

예수님은 씨앗이 자라는 것을 비유로 영적 성장의 신비를 설명하셨습니다.

그는 하나님의 나라를 땅에 씨앗을 뿌리는 농부에 비유하십니다(막 4:26).

씨앗을 뿌린 이는 땅을 이용하여 자신이 할 수 있는 일을 했을 것입니다.

그러나 예수님은 씨앗을 뿌린 이가 잠을 자든 깨어 있든, 심지어 씨앗이 자라나는 과정을 알든 모르든

씨앗은 싹을 낸다고 말씀하셨습니다(27-28).

땅 주인은 자신의 노력이나 땅 속에서 일어나는 일들을 얼마나 잘 아는지와 상관없이

곡식이 자라 수확을 하였습니다(29절). 

The maturing of the seeds in Jesus’s parable, like the blooming of my daffodils,

occurred in God’s time and because of God’s growing power.

Whether we’re considering personal spiritual growth

or God’s plan to expand the church until Jesus returns,

the Lord’s mysterious ways aren’t dependent on

our abilities or understanding of His works.

Still, God invites us to know, serve, and praise the Grower,

reaping the benefits of the spiritual maturity He cultivates in and through us.

우리 집에 수선화가 핀 것처럼 예수님의 비유에서 씨앗이 완전히 자라나는 것은 모두

하나님의 때에, 하나님의 자라게 하시는 힘으로 된 것입니다.

개인의 영적 성장이나 예수님이 다시 오실 때까지 교회를 자라게 하시는 하나님의 계획을 생각해 볼 때,

주님의 신비로운 역사는 우리의 능력이나 주님의 사역에 대한 우리의 이해와는 관계없이 이루어집니다.

그럼에도 하나님은 성장시키시는 그분을 알고 섬기고 찬양하라고 우리를 부르십니다.

그래서 하나님이 우리 속에서, 또 우리를 통해 가꾸시는 영적인 성숙을 거두게 하십니다.

Lord, thank You for growing us spiritually and using us to serve Your people,

as You grow Your kingdom.

주님, 우리를 영적으로 자라게 하시고 주의 백성을 섬기는데 사용하셔서

하나님의 나라를 자라가게 하시니 감사합니다. 

             

God deserves the glory for the growth of His people and His kingdom.

하나님은 그의 백성과 그의 나라가 자라는 것으로 영광 받으신다.
