그분의 마음은 우리의 슬픔과 비애와 시련을 향하여 열려 있다

하나님께서는 우리가 말 못할 슬픔과 아프고 상한 마음으로 짓눌려 있도록 버려두지 않으신다.

그분께서는 우리로 하여금 눈을 들어 당신의 자애스러운 모습을 바라보게 하신다. 

거룩하신 구주께서는 눈물로 앞이 가리워 당신을 알아보지 못하는 많은 사람들 곁에 서 계신다.

그분은 우리의 손을 꽉 붙잡길 원하신다.

그리고 또, 우리가 단순한 믿음으로 당신을 바라보며 당신께서 우리를 인도하시도록 했으면 하고 원하신다.

그분의 마음은 우리의 슬픔과 비애와 시련을 향하여 열려 있다.

그분은 영원한 사랑으로 우리를 사랑하시며, 자애로운 손길로 우리를 감싸 주신다. 

우리는 마음을 그분께 바치고 온종일 그분의 자애를 명상할 수 있을 것이다.

그렇게 할 때, 그분께서는 우리의 영혼이 매일 당하는 슬픔과 어려움에서 벗어나

평화 가운데서 살게 해주실 것이다.

 고통과 슬픔 중에 있는 자녀들이여, 이것을 생각하고 소망 중에 즐거워하라.

“세상을 이긴 이김은 이것이니 우리의 믿음이니라”(요한일서 5장 4절).

His Heart is Open to Our Griefs, Our Sorrows, and Our Trials

God would not have us remain pressed down by dumb sorrow, with sore and breaking hearts. He would have us look up and behold His dear face of love.

The blessed Saviour stands by many whose eyes are so blinded by tears that they do not discern Him. He longs to clasp our hands, to have us look to Him in simple faith, permitting Him to guide us. 

His heart is open to our griefs, our sorrows, and our trials. He has loved us with an everlasting love and with loving-kindness compassed us about. 

We may keep the heart stayed upon Him and meditate upon His loving-kindness all the day. He will lift the soul above the daily sorrow and perplexity, into a realm of peace.

 Think of this, children of suffering and sorrow, and rejoice in hope. “This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4.
