불가능은 우리의 의지 안에 있음

 

우리의 전 생애는 하나님의 것이며 그분께 영광이 되도록 사용되어야 한다.

그분의 은혜로 모든 기능은 성별되고 개선된다.
어떤 사람도, 자신의 품성의 결점들을 고칠 수 없다고 말하지 말도록 하라.

이는 그대가 이런 결정을 내린다면, 그대는 영생을 얻는 일에 확실히 실패할 것이기 때문이다.
불가능은 그대의 의지 안에 있다. 만일 그대가 하려고 하지 않는다면, 그대는 이길 수 없다.

진정한 어려움은

성화되지 못한 심령의 타락성과 하나님의 통제에 순복하려 하지 않는 마음에 있다.

위대한 신경 안정제―마음과 신경은 의지의 행사로 말미암아 건강과 힘을 얻는다.

많은 경우에서 의지의 힘은 강력한 신경 안정제가 될 것이다.

Impossibility Lies in Own Will

Our entire life is God’s and must be used to His glory. His grace will consecrate and improve every faculty. Let no one say, I cannot remedy my defects of character; for if you come to this decision, you will certainly fail to obtain everlasting life. The impossibility lies in your own will. If you will not, then you can not overcome. The real difficulty arises from the corruption of unsanctified hearts, and an unwillingness to submit to the control of God.
A Grand Soother of Nerves—The mind and nerves gain tone and strength by the exercise of the will. The power of the will in many cases will prove a potent soother of the nerves.
