천사들은 우리의 기도에 응답하고자 기다림

 

 

우리는 오늘날 주님의 약속을 실증함으로써 하나님과 친숙해져야 한다.

천사들은 열렬하고 진실한 모든 기도를 기록한다.

우리는 하나님과 나누는 교통을 등한히 하기보다 차라리 이기적 만족을 버려야 한다.

하나님께서 인정하시는 극심한 빈궁과 가장 큰 극기는

그분께서 인정하지 않으시는 부귀와 명예와 안일과 우정보다 더 낫다.

우리는 기도하는 시간을 가져야 할 것이다.

 

천사들은 찬미와 믿음의 기도를 듣고,

성소에서 당신의 백성을 위하여 봉사하시며 저들을 위하여 은혜을 베푸시는 주님께

탄원을 가지고 나간다.

진실한 기도는 전능자께서 들으시며 인간에게 승리를 주신다.

무릎으로 그리스도인들은 유혹에 저항할 힘을 얻는다.

 

하나님께서는 믿음이 연약하고 실수가 많은 범죄한 자녀들을 떠나지 않으신다.

주님께서는 그들의 기도와 그들의 고백을 귀 기울여 들으신다.

매일, 매 시간 예수님을 바라보고 기도하는 사람은 예수님과 가까워진다.

날개를 펼친 천사들은 그들의 회개의 기도를 하나님께 전달하고

하늘 책에 그 기도를 위해 기다린다.

 

 

 때때로 고난당하는 자들을 돌볼 때에

작은 일들에 많은 관심을 기울이지만,

영혼과 신체에 모두 봉사하게 될, 만민을 구원하는 위대한 복음 진리를

환자들이 필요로 한다는 것은 잊혀진다.

 

 

그대가 병자들을 위해서 기도하는 것을 등한히 할 때,

그대는 그대들에서 큰 축복을 빼앗은 것이다.

왜냐하면 하나님의 천사들은 그대의 간구에 응답하여 이 영혼들을 섬기기 위해

기다리고 있기 때문이다.

Angels Wait to Respond to Our Prayers

We should now acquaint ourselves with God by proving His promises. Angels record every prayer that is earnest and sincere. We should rather dispense with selfish gratifications than neglect communion with God. The deepest poverty, the greatest self-denial, with His approval, is better than riches, honors, ease, and friendship without it. We must take time to pray.

Angels hear the offering of praise and the prayer of faith, and they bear the petitions to Him who ministers in the sanctuary for His people, and pleads His merits in their behalf. True prayer takes hold upon Omnipotence, and gives men the victory. Upon his knees the Christian obtains strength to resist temptation.

God does not leave His erring children who are weak in faith, and who make many mistakes. The Lord hearkens and hears their prayer and their testimony. Those who look unto Jesus day by day and hour by hour, who watch unto prayer, are drawing nigh to Jesus. Angels with wings outspread wait to bear their contrite prayers to God, and to register them in the books of heaven.

—Often in the care of the suffering, much attention is given to minor matters, while the patients’ need of the great all-saving truths of the gospel, which would minister to both soul and body, is forgotten. When you neglect to offer prayer for the sick, you deprive them of great blessings; for angels of God are waiting to minister to these souls in response to your petitions.
