그분은 우리가 구하기 전에 우리의 필요를 아심

 

“그러므로 저희를 본받지 말라

구하기 전에 너희에게 있어야 할 것을 하나님 너희 아버지께서 아시느니라”(마 6:8).

 

신령한 예술가이신 하나님께서

하루 동안에 없어지는 단순한 꽃에게도 아름다운 여러 가지 색채로 단장하게 하셨거든

하물며 당신의 형상으로 지으신 사람들을 위하여서야 얼마나 더욱 크게 돌보실 것인가?…

만일 사람들이 하나님을 사랑하고 순종하면서 저희 할 일을 한다면

하나님께서는 그들의 모든 필요를 공급하실 것이다… 

 

염려한다고 해서 그 키를 한 자라도 더 크게 할 수는 없다.

내일과 내일의 필요에 대하여 염려할 필요가 없다.

그대의 의무를 이행하라. 그리고 하나님을 신뢰하라.

이는 주님께서 그대에게 무엇이 필요한가를 아시기 때문이다. …

그분은 어머니가, 앓고 있는 아기를 연민으로 돌보고 있는 것보다도 더 깊은 연민으로

우리를 돌보고 계신다. …

하나님께서는 당혹과 고통 가운데 친구가 되시며, 걱정 속에 보호자가 되시며

우리에게 보이지 않는 수천가지 위험 가운데서 우리의 보존자가 되신다.

 

하나님께서는 도처에 계신다.

그분은 입에서 나오는 모든 말을 들으시고,

우리가 드리는 모든 기도에 귀를 기울이시며, 각 사람의 슬픔과 실망을 맛보시고,

우리가 아버지와 어머니와 자매와 친구와 이웃에 대해 어떤 태도를 가지는지 주시하신다.

그분은 우리의 필요를 채워 주시고,

그분의 사랑과 자비와 은혜는 우리의 필요를 충족시켜 주기 위해 끊임없이 넘쳐흐르고 있다. …

우리는 그분의 보호 아래서 안전하게 쉴 수 있을 것이다.

He Knows Our Needs Before We Ask

 

Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Matthew 6:8.

If God, the divine artist, gives to the simple flowers, that perish in a day, their delicate and varied colors, how much greater care will He have for those who are created in His own image? ... If men love and obey God, and do their part, God will provide for all their wants.... 

No man can add one cubit to his stature, no matter how solicitous he may be to do so. It is no less unreasonable to be troubled about the morrow and its needs. Do your duty, and trust in God; for He knows of what things you have need.... He watches over us with more tenderness than does a mother over an afflicted child.... God is a friend in perplexity and affliction, a protector in distress, a preserver in the thousand dangers that are unseen to us.

God dwells in every abode; He hears every word that is spoken, listens to every prayer that is offered, tastes the sorrows and disappointments of every soul, regards the treatment that is given to father, mother, sister, friend, and neighbor. He cares for our necessities, and His love and mercy and grace are continually flowing to satisfy our need.... In His care we may safely rest.
