돌봐 주시는 하나님

 

비천한 매일의 업무 속에서, 

매우 연약하고 가장 미약한 사람들이 하나님과 함께 일하는 사람들이 되고, 

하나님의 임재와 지탱해 주시는 은혜로 위로받을 수 있다. 

그들은 끊임없는 걱정과 쓸데없는 염려로 자신들을 괴롭히지 않아도 된다. 

그들은 날마다 하나님의 섭리를 따라 지정된 과업을 충실히 완수해야 한다.

그리하면 그분께서는 그들을 돌봐 주실 것이다. 

그분께서는 다음과 같이 말씀하신다.

 

“아무것도 염려하지 말고

오직 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라. 

그리하면 모든 지각에 뛰어난 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희 마음과 생각을 지키시리라.”

(빌 4:6, 7).

 

주님께서는 당신의 모든 피조물을 돌봐 주신다. 

그분께서는 생애의 가장 무거운 짐을 지도록 부르심을 입은 사람들을 가장 부드럽게 동정해 주시는 일 외에는 당신의 피조물들을 차별해서 사랑하지 않으신다. 

하나님의 자녀들은 시련과 어려움을 당하지 않으면 안된다. 

그러나 그들은 세상이 그들에게 주기를 등한히 하는 모든 것을

하나님께서 친히 그들에게 가장 유익이 되게 해 주실 것이라는 것을 기억하고

즐거운 마음으로 그들의 운명을 감수해야 한다.

 

그분께서 겸손한 기도에 대한 응답으로 당신의 능력과 지혜를 나타내시는 것은

우리가 가장 어려운 경우에 처할 때이다. 

기도를 언제나 들어주시고, 응답해 주시는 하나님을 신뢰하라. 

그분은 온갖 비상사태에서 그대를 도와 주실 분으로 자신을 나타내실 것이다. 

사람을 창조하시고, 사람에게 놀라운 육체적, 지적,영적 능력을 주신 분께서는

당신이 주신 생명을 지탱하는 일에 필요한 것은 결코 보류해 두지않으실 것이다. 

우리에게 생명나무의 잎사귀가 되는 말씀을 주신 분께서는

당신의 궁핍한 자녀들에게 어떻게 양식을 공급해 주실 것인지 알려 주지 않은 채 있지 않으실 것이다.  

 

 

Lord’s Care

In the humble round of toil, the very weakest, the most obscure,

may be workers together with God

and may have the comfort of His presence and sustaining grace.

They are not to weary themselves with busy anxieties and needless cares.

Let them work on from day to day, accomplishing faithfully the task

that God's providence assigns, and He will care for them.

 

He says:

"In nothing be anxious;

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known unto God."

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6, A.R.V.; 4:7.

 

The Lord's care is over all His creatures.

He loves them all and makes no difference, except that He has the most tender pity

for those who are called to bear life's heaviest burdens.

God's children must meet trials and difficulties.

But they should accept their lot with a cheerful spirit, remembering

that for all that the world neglects to bestow,

God Himself will make up to them in the best of favors.

 

It is when we come into difficult places that He reveals His power and wisdom in answer

to humble prayer.

Have confidence in Him as a prayer-hearing, prayer-answering God.

He will reveal Himself to you as one who can help in every emergency.

He who created man, who gave him his wonderful physical, mental, and spiritual faculties, will not withhold that which is necessary to sustain the life He has given.

He who has given us His word--the leaves of the tree of life--will not withhold from us

a knowledge of how to provide food for His needy children.
