구주께서는 우리를 버리지 않으신다

 

우리가 무지함으로 실족할지라도 구주께서는 우리를 버리지 않으신다.

우리는 결코 홀로 있다고 생각할 필요가 없다.

천사들은 우리의 친구들이다.

그리스도께서 당신의 이름으로 보내주시겠다고 약속하신 보혜사께서 우리와 함께 계신다.

하나님의 도성으로 가는 길에는 하나님을 신뢰하는 사람들이 정복할 수 없는 어려움이 없다.

그들이 피할 수 없는 위험들은 없다.

하나님께서 치료의 길을 마련해 주시지 않는 슬픔이 없고, 비애가 없고, 인간적 약점이 없다.

 

아무도 스스로 자포 자기하여 낙심하거나 실망할 필요가 없다.

사단은 그대에게 가까이 와서

“너는 절망적인 상태에 놓여 있어, 너는 회복될 가망이 전혀 없어” 라고 말함으로써 가혹하게 암시할 것이다. 그러나 그리스도 안에서 그대에게는 희망이 있다.

하나님께서는 우리의 힘으로 승리하라고 명령하지 않으신다.

우리가 당하고 있는 어려움이 심령과 육체를 아무리 억압하고 있을지라도.

그분께서는 우리에게 자유를 주시고자 기다리고 계신다.

 

스스로 인성을 취하신 그분께서는 인간의 고통을 어떻게 동정하실지 아신다.

그리스도는 각 영혼들과, 그 영혼들의 특수한 필요와 시험을 아실 뿐만 아니라

심령을 괴롭히고 어렵게 만드는 모든 환경을 아신다.

그분께서는 동정 어린 친절로써 고통하는 모든 영혼들에게 당신의 손을 뻗고 계신다.

가장 크게 고통을 당하는 사람들이 그분의 동정과 긍휼을 가장 많이 받는다.

그분은 우리의 연약함을 아시고 마음 속에 동정을 느끼시며,

우리의 어려움과 난처한 문제들을 가져와서 당신의 발 앞에 놓기를 바라신다.

The Savior Does Not Forsake Us

 

If in our ignorance we make missteps, the Savior does not forsake us.

We need never feel that we are alone.

Angels are our companions.

The Comforter that Christ promised to send in His name abides with us.

In the way that leads to the city of God there are no difficulties

which those who trust in Him may not overcome.

There are no dangers which they may not escape.

There is not a sorrow, not a grievance, not a human weakness,

for which He has not provided a remedy.

 

None need abandon themselves to discouragement and despair.

Satan may come to you with the cruel suggestion, Yours is a hopeless case;

you are irredeemable. But there is hope for you in Christ.

God does not bid us overcome in our own strength.

He asks us to come close to His side.

Whatever difficulties we labor under, which weigh down soul and body,

He waits to make us free.

 

He who took humanity upon Himself knows

how to sympathize with the sufferings of humanity.

Not only does Christ know every soul, and the peculiar needs and trials of that soul,

but He knows all the circumstances that chafe and perplex the spirit.

His hand is outstretched in pitying tenderness to every suffering child.

Those who suffer most have most of His sympathy and pity.

He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities,

and He desires us to lay our perplexities and troubles at His feet, and leave them there.
