Persist Unwearyingly in Prayer

기도로 끈기 있게 주장하라

 

When a man breathes an intensely earnest prayer to God

(Jesus Christ is the only name given under heaven whereby we can be saved),

there is in that intensity and earnestness a pledge from God

that He is about to answer that prayer exceeding abundantly,

above all that we can ask or think.

 

사람이 매우 진실한 기도를 하나님

(예수 그리스도는 하늘 아래에서 우리가 구원받을 수 있도록 주어진 유일한 이름이다) 께 속삭이면,

우리가 구하거나 생각할 수 있는 모든 것보다 전심과 진심으로 더욱 풍성하게

그 기도에 응답하시려고 하시는 하나님으로부터 오는 보증이 있다.

 

We must not only pray in the name of Jesus,

but by the inspiration and kindling of the Holy Spirit.

This explains what is meant when it is said,

“the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which can not be uttered.”

The petitions must be offered in earnest faith.

Then they will reach the mercy-seat. 

 

우리는 단지 예수의 이름으로만이 아닌 성령의 감화와 점화에 의해 기도해야 한다.

그것은 “오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라”라고 말씀 속에

그 의미가 설명된다.

탄원은 간절한 믿음 안에서 드려져야만 한다. 그러면 그들은 은혜의 보좌에 가까워질 것이다.

 

Unwearyingly persist in prayer.

God does not say, Pray once, and I will answer you.

His word is pray, be instant in prayer, believing ye have the things ye ask,

and ye shall receive them; I will answer you.

 

기도로 끈기 있게 주장하라.

하나님께서는 한번 기도하면 응답할 것이라고 말씀하지 않으신다.

기도하고, 순간순간 기도하며,

기도할 때에 무엇이든지 믿고 구하는 것은 다 받을 것이다, 내가 응답하겠다는 것이

그분의 말씀이다.
