Gospel Alone Can Cure Evils Cursing Society

복음만이 사회를 괴롭히는 악들을 치료할 수 있다

 

The only remedy for the sins and sorrows of men is Christ.

The gospel of His grace alone can cure the evils that curse society.

 

인류의 죄와 슬픔에 대한 유일한 구제책은 곧 그리스도이시다.

그분의 은혜의 복음만이 사회를 저주스럽게 만드는 죄악을 제거할 수 있다.

 

The injustice of the rich toward the poor, the hatred of the poor toward the rich,

alike have their root in selfishness,

and this can be eradicated only through submission to Christ.

He alone, for the selfish heart of sin, gives the new heart of love.

 

가난한 자들에 대한 부자의 부정 행위나 부자에 대한 가난한 자의 원한 등은

다 그 근원이 이기심에 있다.

우리는 그리스도께 복종함으로써만 이러한 이기심을 끊어 버릴 수 있다.

그리스도만이 죄에 찌든 이기심 대신에 사랑의 새 마음을 주실 수 있다.

 

Let the servants of Christ preach the gospel with the Spirit sent down from heaven and

work as He did for the benefit of men.

Then such results will be manifest in the blessing and uplifting of mankind

as are wholly impossible of accomplishment by human power.

 

그리스도의 종들은 하늘로부터 받은 성령을 힘입어 복음을 전파하고

그리스도께서 인류의 유익을 위하여 일하신 것처럼 일하도록 하라.

그리하면 인류를 축복하고 향상시키는 일에 있어서

사람의 힘으로는 도저히 성취할 수 없는 그런 결과가 나타날 것이다.
