Prayer in the Hour of Need   필요한 때의 기도

To pray as Nehemiah prayed in his hour of need

is a resource at the command of the Christian under circumstances

when other forms of prayer may be impossible.

 

위급한 때에 느헤미야가 기도한 것처럼 기도하는 것은

다른 형태로 기도하기가 불가능한 환경 아래서 그리스도인이 구사할 수 있는 기지이다.

 

Toilers in the busy walks of life, crowded and almost overwhelmed with perplexity,

can send up a petition to God for divine guidance.

 

곤란에 싸여 거의 압도된 생애의 분주한 걸음 중에서도

일꾼들은 하나님의 지도를 받기 위하여 하나님께 탄원할 수 있다.

 

Travelers by sea and land, when threatened with some great danger,

can thus commit themselves to Heaven’s protection.

 

In times of sudden difficulty or peril the heart may send up its cry for help to one

who has pledged Himself to come to the aid of His faithful,

believing ones whenever they call upon Him.

 

해로와 육로로, 여행하는 사람들이 어떤 큰 위험을 당했을 때에

이와 같이 자신들을 하늘의 보호에 의탁할 수 있다.

돌연한 곤란이나 위험을 당했을 때에, 당신의 충실한 신자들이 당신을 부를 때에

언제든지 저희를 도우러 오시겠다고 친히 약속하신 하나님께 마음으로 도움을 부르짖을 수 있다.

 

In every circumstance, under every condition,

the soul weighed down with grief and care, or fiercely assailed by temptation,

may find assurance, support, and succor

in the unfailing love and power of a covenant-keeping God.

 

어떤 환경이나 어떤 상태 아래서도 슬픔이나 근심이나 맹렬히 엄습해 오는 시험으로 억눌린 영혼이

언약을 지키시는 하나님의 끊임없는 사랑과 능력 안에서 확신과 지지와 구조를 찾을 수 있다.
