그분의 모본을 따른다면, 그분의 보증이 우리에게 이루어질 것이다

예수께서는 이 세상에 계실 때 항상 사람들 앞에서 하나님의 영광을 드러내고

만사를 아버지의 뜻에 맡김으로써 모든 세밀한 점에서까지 생애를 고상하게 하셨다.

그분의 모본을 따른다면,

이 땅의 생애에 필요한 모든 것을 “더하리라”는 그분의 보증이 우리에게 이루어질 것이다.

 

가난과 부, 질병과 건강, 우둔과 지혜, 이 모든 것들은 그분의 은혜의 허락을 통하여 제공된다.

하나님께서는 아무리 연약한 영혼이라도 당신께 도움을 청하러 돌아오면 영원한 팔로 감싸 주신다.

산에서 나는 보석들은 없어질 것이나, 하나님을 위해 사는 사람은 그분과 함께 거할 것이다.

 

“이 세상도 그 정욕도 지나가되 오직 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 이는 영원히 거하느니라”(요한일서 2:17).

 

하나님의 성은 황금문을 열고,

이 세상에 있는 동안 실패와 고난 중에서 인도하심과 지혜 그리고 위로와 소망을 얻기 위해

하나님께 의지하는 법을 배운 자를 맞아들일 것이다.

천사들의 노래가 그 곳에서 그를 환영하며, 생명나무가 그를 위하여 열매를 맺을 것이다.

 

“산들은 떠나며 작은 산들은 옮길지라도

나의 인자는 네게서 떠나지 아니하며 화평케 하는 나의 언약은 옮기지 아니하리라

너를 긍휼히 여기는 여호와의 말이니라”(이사야 54:10).

 

 

If We Follow His Example, His Assurance to Us is Added

 

Jesus, while He dwelt on earth, dignified life in all its details by keeping

before men the glory of God, and by subordinating everything to the will of His Father.

If we follow His example, His assurance to us is that

all things needful in this life “shall be added.”

 

Poverty or wealth, sickness or health, simplicity or wisdom—all are provided

for in the promise of His grace.

God’s everlasting arm encircles the soul that turns to Him for aid,

however feeble that soul may be.

The precious things of the hills shall perish,

but the soul that lives for God shall abide with Him.

 

“The world passeth away, and the lust thereof;

but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.” 1 John 2:17.

 

The city of God will open its golden gates to receive him

who learned while on earth to lean on God

for guidance and wisdom, for comfort and hope, amid loss and affliction.

The songs of the angels will welcome him there, and for him the tree of life shall yield its fruit.

 

“The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed;

but My kindness shall not depart from thee,

neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed,

saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.” Isaiah 54:10.
