승리하는 길

 

구주께서는 사람들이 어떻게 승리할 수 있을 것인지 보여 주기 위하여 승리하셨다.

그리스도께서는 사단의 모든 시험을 하나님의 말씀으로 대항하셨다.

그분께서는 하나님의 약속을 신뢰함으로 하나님의 계명에 순종할 능력을 받으셨다.

 

그러므로 유혹하는 자는 아무런 유익을 얻을 수 없었다.

그분께서는 모든 시험을 “기록하였으되”라는 말씀으로 대처하셨다.

그와 같이 하나님께서는 당신의 말씀을 우리에게 주셔서 악을 저항할 수 있게 해주셨다.

지극히 크고 귀한 약속을 우리에게 주셨으므로 우리는 그 약속으로 말미암아

“정욕을 인하여 세상에서 썩어질 것을 피하여 신의 성품에 참예하는 자가” (벧후 1:4) 될 수 있다.

 

시험받는 자에게 환경과 자신의 연약함과 유혹의 힘을 보지 말고

하나님의 말씀의 능력을 보도록 일러주라. 그 모든 힘은 우리의 것이다.

 

시편 기자는 “내가 주께 범죄치 아니하려 하여 주의 말씀을 내 마음에 두었나이다.”

“주의 입술의 말씀을 좇아 스스로 삼가서 강포한 자의 길에 행치 아니하” (시 119:11; 17:4)오며

라고 말한다.

 

The Way to Overcome

 

The Savior overcame to show man how he may overcome.

All the temptations of Satan, Christ met with the word of God.

By trusting in God's promises, He received power to obey God's commandments,

and the tempter could gain no advantage.

To every temptation His answer was, “It is written”

So God has given us His word where with to resist evil.

“Exceeding great and precious promises” are ours,

that by these we “might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  2 Peter 1:4.

 

Bid the tempted one look not to circumstances, to the weakness of self,

or to the power of temptation, but to the power of God’s word.

All its strength is ours.

 

“Thy word” says the psalmist,

“have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee,”

“By the word of Thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.”

Psalms 119:11; 17:4.
