성령의 침례가 주어짐

 

하나님의 신실한 기별자들은 주님께서 정하신 방법을 좇아 주님의 사업을 추진하기 위해 애써야 한다.

그들은 위대하신 교사와 밀접하게 연결됨으로 날마다 하나님께로부터 배우는 자리에 있어야 한다.

그들은 죄 속에서 멸망해가고 있는 세상의 필요를 채워 주기 위해 성령의 침례를 받고자

열렬한 기도를 통해 하나님과 씨름해야 한다.

 

영원한 복음을 전파하기 위해서 믿음으로 나아가는 이들에게 모든 권세가 약속되었다.

하나님의 종들이 영광의 보좌로부터 흘러나오는 살아 있는 기별을 생생하게 전파할 때,

진리의 빛은 타고 있는 등잔처럼 빛을 발하여 온 세상을 비추게 될 것이다.

 

이렇게 해서 오류와 불신의 어두움은 모든 대륙에 있는 정직한 마음의 소유자들,

“사람으로 하나님을 혹 더듬어 찾아 발견케 하려 하심이로되”라는 말씀대로

지금 하나님을 찾고 있는 이들의 마음속에서 추방될 것이다.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit Given

 

 

God’s faithful messengers are to seek to carry forward the Lord’s work in His appointed way. They are to place themselves in close connection with the Great Teacher, that they may be daily taught of God. They are to wrestle with God in earnest prayer for a baptism of the Holy Spirit that they may meet the needs of a world perishing in sin. All power is promised those who go forth in faith to proclaim the everlasting gospel. As the servants of God bear to the world a living message fresh from the throne of glory, the light of truth will shine forth as a lamp that burneth, reaching to all parts of the world. Thus the darkness of error and unbelief will be dispelled from the minds of the honest in heart in all lands, who are now seeking after God, “If haply they might feel after Him, and find Him.”— Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, 459, 460.
