🌻 생명의 향기 • 그대의 상상력으로 보이지 않는 것들을 붙잡으라 🌻

그대가 위험에 처하는 때는

그대가 번영할 때, 모든 사람이 그대에 대하여 좋게 말할 때이다.

 

조심하라. 그대가 시험을 받게 될 것이기 때문이다.

그대에 대한 나의 가장 큰 두려움은 그대가 지나치게 번영할까,

그대가 오직 하나님만을 신뢰하는 것을 배우지 못하지는 않을까 하는 데 있었다.

 

그대는 큰 신임과 영광의 자리에 있었다.

그러므로 거기에는 그대가 아찔해져서

하나님을 의지하는 일을 잊어버릴 위험이 있었다.

 

만일 그대가 하나님의 영광에만 눈을 고정시킨다면

그대는 선을 위해 멀리까지 미치는 영향력을 발휘할 수 있는 곳에 있었다.

 

그대의 하늘 아버지는 그대를 사랑하신다.

그러므로 그분께서는 그대에게 가혹해 보이는 시련들을 통하여

그대를 그분께로 이끄실 것이다.

 

나는 그대가 간신히 용서받은 죄인으로서가 아니고

정복자로서 하나님의 도성에 들어가게 되기를 가장 열렬하게 바라는 바이다.

 

나의 형제여, 그대는 이 사실을 생각하는가?

만일 그대가 이생에서 진실하고 겸손하고 성실할 것 같으면

그대는 넉넉히 들어가게 될 것이다.

 

그리하여 생명나무가 그대의 몫이 될 것이다.

그대가 죄를 정복한 자가 될 것이기 때문이다.

그리고 하나님의 경영하시고 지으신 성이 그대의 성이 될 것이다.

 

그대의 상상력으로 보이지 않는 것들을 붙잡으라.

그대의 생각이 그대를 위한 하나님의 위대한 사랑의 증거에 넋을 읽게 하라.

 

그대가 추구하고 있는 목표를 명상함으로써

그대는 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 초래한 고통의 감각을 잃게 될 것이다.

🌻 Aroma of Life • Let Your Imagination Take Hold upon Things Unseen 🌻

 

It is when you are prospered, when all men speak well of you, that you are in danger.

 

Be on your guard, for you will be tried. My greatest fear for you has been that you would have too great prosperity, and that you would fail to learn that your dependence is alone upon God.

 

You have been placed in a position of great trust and honor, and there has been danger of your becoming dizzy and forgetting your dependence upon God.

 

You have been placed where you can exert a far-reaching influence for good if you keep your eye single to the glory of God.

 

Your heavenly Father loves you, and He will draw you to Himself by the trials that seem to you severe.

 

I have a most earnest desire that you shall enter the city of God, not as a culprit barely pardoned, but as a conqueror.

 

My brother, will you think of this? If you are true and humble and faithful in this life, you will be given an abundant entrance.

 

Then the tree of life will be yours, for you will be a victor over sin; the city whose builder and maker is God will be your city.

 

Let your imagination take hold upon things unseen. Let your thoughts be carried away to the evidences of the great love of God for you.

 

In contemplating the object of which you are in pursuit, you will lose the sense of pain brought by the light afflictions that are but for a moment.
