🌻 생명의 향기 • 진실로 성화된 사람들 🌻

우리의 구주께서는 언제나 독선을 정죄하셨다.

주님께서는 제자들에게

가장 고상한 신앙은 그 자체가 은밀하며 겸손한 모양으로 나타난다고

가르치셨다.

주님께서는 제자들에게 사랑의 행동을 은밀히 행하고 과시하지 말며,

장래의 보상을 기대하면서 사람들에게 칭찬을 받거나 높임을 받으려 하지 말고,

하나님의 영광을 위해서 하라고 경고하셨다.
만일 그들이 사람들에게 칭찬받기 위하여 선행을 하면

하늘에 계신 아버지께서 그들에게 아무 보상도 주지 않으실 것이다...

참된 성화는 하나님의 뜻에 완전히 일치하는 것이다.

반역적인 생각과 감정은 극복되고,

예수님의 음성은 전신에 미치는 새 생애에로 각성시킨다.

진실로 성화된 사람들은

자신의 의견을 옳고 그름의 표준으로 내세우지 않을 것이다.
그들은 완고하거나 독선적이 아니다.

그들은 자기들에게 주어진 허락들의 조건에 응하지 못할까봐

항상 두려운 마음으로 자신을 애써 지킨다.

🌻 Aroma of Life • Truly Sanctified Life 🌻

Our Saviour ever condemned self-righteousness. He taught His disciples that the highest type of religion is that which manifests itself in a quiet, unobtrusive manner.

He cautioned them to perform their deeds of charity quietly; not for display, not to be praised or honored of men, but for the glory of God, expecting their reward hereafter.
If they should perform good deeds to be lauded by men, no reward would be given them by their Father in heaven...

True sanctification is an entire conformity to the will of God. Rebellious thoughts and feelings are overcome, and the voice of Jesus awakens a new life, which pervades the entire being.

Those who are truly sanctified will not set up their own opinion as a standard of right and wrong.
They are not bigoted or self-righteousness; but they are jealous of self, ever fearing lest, a promise being left them, they should come short of complying with the conditions upon which the promises are based.
