그리스도와 같은 봉사 사업에 자신의 생애를 바치는 자들은

진정한 행복이 무엇임을 안다.

그들의 관심과 기도는 자신을 초월한 것이다.

 

그들이 남을 도우려고 노력할 때에 자신들도 성장한다.

그들은 가장 거대한 계획과 가장 감동적인 사업에 정통하고 있으며

하나님의 빛과 축복의 통로가 된 이상 성장하지 않을 수가 있겠는가?

 

이러한 사람들은 하늘로부터 지혜를 얻는다.

그들은 그리스도의 모든 경륜 속에서 차츰 차츰 그리스도를 닮는다.

그들에게는 영적으로 침체되어 있을 사이가 없다.

 

이 사업에 성공적으로 종사하고 있는 교회는 행복한 교회이다.

오류에 빠진 자들을 사랑하고 동정하는 마음을 가지고

그들을 위대하신 목자 예수님의 우리 안으로 인도하기 위해서 수고하는 자는

참으로 복된 사업에 종사하는 자이다.

 

이와 같이 하여 죄인 하나가 회개하였을 때에

하늘에서는 의인 아흔 아홉 명을 인해서보다 더 기뻐한다는 것을 생각할 때에

얼마나 가슴이 벅차는 기쁨을 가지게 되랴!

 

하나님의 뜻에 복종하는 자에게는 힘드는 일이 없다.

“주님을 위해서 행한다”는 이 생각은

하나님께서 맡기시는 어떠한 일에 대해서도 매력을 일으키는 것이다.

 

그리스도인 일꾼들은 하늘이 맡겨 주신 그의 사업에서 힘든 것을 모른다.

그는 영혼들이 죄의 노예에서 해방되는 것을 볼 때에 주의 기쁨을 맛보게 되며

이 기쁨이 그의 모든 자기 희생에 대해서 보상이 되는 것이다.

🌻Aroma of Life | Present Reward—Happiness🌻

 

Those who give their lives to Christlike ministry know the meaning of true happiness. Their interests and their prayers reach far beyond self.

 

They themselves are growing as they try to help others. They become familiar with the largest plans, the most stirring enterprises, and how can they but grow when they place themselves in the divine channel of light and blessing?

 

Such ones receive wisdom from heaven. They become more and more identified with Christ in all His plans. There is no opportunity for spiritual stagnation.

 

The church that engages successfully in this work, is a happy church. That man or that woman whose soul is drawn out in compassion and love for the erring, and who labors to bring them to the fold of the great Shepherd, is engaged in a blessed work.

 

And, oh, what a soul-enrapturing thought, that when one sinner is thus reclaimed, there is more joy in heaven than over ninety and nine just persons!

 

 

Nothing is drudgery to the one who submits to the will of God. “Doing it unto the Lord” is a thought that throws a charm over whatever work God gives him to do.

 

The Christian laborer knows no drudgery in his heaven-appointed work. He enters into the joy of His Lord in seeing souls emancipated from the slavery of sin; and this joy repays him for every self-denial.
