다가오는 사건들은 주님의 손에 달려 있음

세계는 통치자가 없는 것이 아니다.
다가오는 사건들의 프로그램은 주님의 손에 쥐어져 있다.
하늘의 대왕께서는 당신의 교회의 관심사를 친히 돌보실 뿐 아니라 나라들의 운명을 친히 관리하고 계신다.

복잡한 바퀴의 모양을 한 것이 그룹의 날개 아래 있는 손에 의해 인도되는 것처럼

인간 세계에 일어나는 복잡한 사건들도 하나님의 지배 아래 있는 것이다.
나라들의 불화와 소동 가운데서도 그룹 위에 좌정하시는 분은 여전히 지상의 모든 사건을 인도하신다.

인류 역사의 기록을 보면

모든 민족들의 발전과 모든 왕국들의 흥망은 마치 사람들의 의지나 용기에 좌우되는 듯이 보인다.

여러 가지 사건들의 발생은 그 대부분이 사람의 능력, 야심 혹은 변덕에 의하여 결정되는 듯이 보인다.

그러나 하나님의 말씀인 성경에는 휘장이 열려 있어서 거기서 우리는 무대의 상부와 배후를 보며

또한 인간의 이해 관계와 권력과 욕망의 일체의 승부를 통하여 자비심이 충만하신 하나님의 작인(作因)들이 묵묵히 또 인내를 가지고 하나님의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 일하고 있는 것을 보게 되는 것이다

Coming Events Are in the Hands of the Lord

The world is not without a ruler.
The program of coming events is in the hands of the Lord. The Majesty of heaven has the destiny of nations as well as the concerns of His church in His own charge.

In the great closing work we shall meet with perplexities that we know not how to deal with, but let us not forget that the three great Powers of heaven are working, that a divine hand is on the wheel, and that God will bring His purposes to pass.

In the annals of human history, the growth of nations, the rise and fall of empires, appear as if dependent on the will and prowess of man; the shaping of events seems, to a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice.

But in the Word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, above, behind, and through all the play and counterplay of human interest and power and passions, the agencies of the All-merciful one, silently, patiently working out the counsels of His own will.
