그대는 하늘이 택한 통로이다

그리스도를 따르는 자들은 사람들 사이에 있는 단순한 빛 이상이 되어야 한다.

그들은 세상의 빛이다. 

예수께서는 당신의 이름을 부르는 모든 사람에게,

너희는 자신을 나에게 바쳤고 나는 너희를 나의 대표자로 세상에 보냈다고 말씀하신다.

예수님은 아버지께서 당신을 세상에 보내신 것같이 “나도 저희를 세상에 보내었”(요한 17: 18)다고

말씀하신다. 

그리스도께서 아버지를 나타내는 통로이신 것처럼, 우리도 그리스도를 나타내는 통로가 되어야 한다.

오, 그리스도인들이여,

우리 구주께서는 비록 광명의 대근원이시지만 인간을 통해 나타나신다는 사실을 결코 잊지 말라. 

하나님의 축복은 인간을 방편으로 하여 주어진다.

그리스도 자신도 인자로서 세상에 오셨다.

신성과 연합한 인간이 인간과 접촉해야 한다.

그리스도의 교회 곧 주님의 제자 각 개인은

모두가 하나님을 사람들에게 드러내기 위해 하늘이 택한 통로이다.

영광의 천사들은 그대를 통해, 멸망 직전에 있는 사람들에게 하늘의 빛과 능력을 전달하고자 기다리고 있다. 인간 대리자가 맡은 사업을 성취하지 못하면 어떻게 될까?

아, 그 때는 세상이 그만큼 허락된 성령의 감화를 강탈당하게 되지 않겠는가!

You Are Heaven’s Appointed Channel

Christ’s followers are to be more than a light in the midst of men. They are the light of the world.

Jesus says to all who have named His name, You have given yourselves to Me, and I have given you to the world as My representatives. As the Father had sent Him into the world, so, He declares, “have I also sent them into the world.” John 17:18. 

As Christ is the channel for the revelation of the Father, so we are to be the channel for the revelation of Christ. While our Saviour is the great source of illumination, forget not, O Christian, that He is revealed through humanity. 

God’s blessings are bestowed through human instrumentality. Christ Himself came to the world as the Son of man. Humanity, united to the divine nature, must touch humanity. The church of Christ, every individual disciple of the Master, is heaven’s appointed channel for the revelation of God to men. 

Angels of glory wait to communicate through you heaven’s light and power to souls that are ready to perish. Shall the human agent fail of accomplishing his appointed work? Oh, then to that degree is the world robbed of the promised influence of the Holy Spirit!
