|생명의 향기| 하늘에 속한 것의 형상을 닮음

하나님을 위한 봉사는 전 존재 - 마음과 목숨과 뜻과 힘 - 를 요구한다.

우리는 자신을 아낌없이 하나님께 드려서,

세상적인 것의 형상이 아니라 하늘에 속한 것의 형상을 닮을 수 있도록 해야 한다. 

감각들이 각성 되어서 높은 자와 낮은 자, 부자와 가난한 자, 학식 있는 자와 무식한 자 등

모든 계층들을 위해 행해져야 할 그 사업을 위해 온전히 정신을 차리고 있어야 한다. 

우리는 위대한 목자께서 그분의 팔에 양들을 모으시고 해를 당하지 않도록 조심스럽게 지키고

양떼를 안전한 길로 인도해가면서 나타내셨던 자애로움을 드러내야 한다. 

그리스도를 따르는 자들은 그분의 동정과 자애를 나타내야 하며,

또한 받는 자에게 영생을 의미하는 그 진리들을 나누어주려는 강력한 갈망도 나타내야 한다.

Christ’s followers are to show His tenderness and sympathy,

and they must also show His intensity of desire to impart the truths

that mean eternal life to the receiver.

?IAroma of LifeI Bear the Image of the Heavenly?

Service for God demands the whole being—heart, mind, soul, and strength. Without reservation we are to give ourselves to God, that we may bear the image of the heavenly instead of the image of the earthly.

There must be a quickening of the sensibilities, that the mind may be fully awake to the work to be done for all classes, high and low, rich and poor, learned and ignorant. 

We are to reveal the tenderness shown by the great Shepherd as He gathers the lambs in His arms and carefully guards His flock from harm, leading it in safe paths. 

Christ’s followers are to show His tenderness and sympathy, and they must also show His intensity of desire to impart the truths that mean eternal life to the receiver.
