음악의 힘

음악은 하늘에 근원을 두고 있다.

음악에는 큰 힘이 있다. 

베들레헴 뜰의 목자들의 마음을 전율시키고 세상에 울려 퍼진 것은 천사들의 무리가 낸 음악이었다. 

순결과 조화의 화신이신 그분께 찬양이 올라가는 것은 음악을 통해서이다. 

구원받은 자들이 마침내 영원한 상급에 들어 갈 때에 승리의 노래와 음악이 함께 할 것이다.

인간의 음성에는 특별히 신성한 어떤 것이 있다.

그것의 조화와 순화되고 하늘의 영감이 깃들인 그것의 정념 (情念) 은 어떤 악기도 능가한다. 

성악은 하나님께서 사람에게 주신 선물 중의 하나이며,

하나님의 사랑이 영혼에 충만할 때에는 다른 어떤 악기도 그것에 견줄 수 없으며

그것을 능가할 수 없는 악기이다. 

영으로 그리고 분별력 있게 노래하는 것은 하나님의 집에서 헌신적인 예배를 드릴 때에 큰 보탬이 된다. 

이러한 선물의 가치가 얼마나 저락하였는가!

성화되고 세련될 때에 그것은 편견과 완고한 마음의 불신의 벽을 허무는 데에 큰 유익을 끼칠 것이며

영혼을 회심케 하는 수단이 될 것이다. 

노래의 기초 원리를 이해하는 것만으로는 충분하지 않다.

분별력, 지식과 함께 천사들이 우리를 통하여 노래할 수 있는 하늘과의 연결이 있어야만 한다.

❄IAroma of LifeI The Power of Music❄

Music is of heavenly origin. There is great power in music.

It was music from the angelic throng that thrilled the hearts of the shepherds on Bethlehem’s plains and swept round the world. 

It is in music that our praises rise to Him who is the embodiment of purity and harmony. 

It is with music and songs of victory that the redeemed shall finally enter upon the immortal reward. 

There is something peculiarly sacred in the human voice. Its harmony and its subdued and heaven-inspired pathos  every musical instrument. 

Vocal music is one of God’s gifts to men, an instrument that cannot be surpassed or equaled when God’s love abounds in the soul. 

Singing with the spirit and the understanding also is a great addition to devotional services in the house of God.

How this gift has been debased! When sanctified and refined it would accomplish great good in breaking down the barriers of prejudice and hardhearted unbelief, and would be the means of converting souls. 

It is not enough to understand the rudiments of singing, but with the understanding, with the knowledge, must be such a connection with heaven that angels can sing through us.
