시대의 위기

우리는 위기의 시대의 문 어귀에 서 있다. 
하나님의 형벌 곧 전쟁과 유혈 사태를 수반하는 화재와 홍수와 지진이 꼬리를 물고 신속히 이르러 올 것이다. 

우리는 이 시대에 크고도 결정적인 사건들을 보고 놀랄 필요가 없다. 

이는 은혜의 천사가 회개하지 않은 사람들을 보호하기 위하여 오래 머물러 있을 수 없기 때문이다.

시련의 시간이 급속히 박두하고 있으며 모든 사건들이 영원히 결정지어지려 하지만

고조에 달한 쾌락의 흥분은 가실 줄을 모른다. 

사탄은 자기 때가 얼마남지 않은 것을 안다. 
그는 모든 부하들로 사람들의 마음을 빼앗고 속이며 혼돈시키고 황홀하게 하기를

시련의 때가 마치며 은혜의 문이 영원히 닫힐 때까지 할 것이다.

종말은 매우 가까이 이르렀다.

그러므로 진리를 받은 우리들은 갑자기 세상에 이를 무서운 사태에 대하여 대비하지 않으면 안 된다.

하나님의 율법을 무시하는 일이 거의 세계적으로 파급되고,

당신의 백성들이 그들의 동포들로부터 압제와 고통을 받고 있을 때에 주께서는 간섭하실 것이다.

급속히 이르고 있는 하나님의 심판 날을 위해서 사태는 급전하고 있다. 

사실상 남은 시간은 거의 없다. . . 

하나님의 종들의 이마에 인을 칠 때까지는 네 바람은 불지 않고 붙잡혀 있게 된다.

그 후에야 지상의 열강(列强)들은 마지막 큰 전쟁을 위해서 그들의 군대를 집결시킬 것이다.

The Crisis of the Ages

We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages. 
In quick succession the judgments of God will follow one another,—fire, and flood, and earthquake, with war and bloodshed. 

We are not to be surprised at this time by events both great and decisive; for the angel of mercy cannot remain much longer to shelter the impenitent.

The highest excitement prevails, yet probation’s hour is fast closing, and every case is about to be eternally decided. 

Satan sees that his time is short. 
He has set all his agencies at work that men may be deceived, deluded, occupied, and entranced until the day of probation shall be ended, and the door of mercy forever shut.

The end is very near. We who know the truth should be preparing for what is soon to break upon the world as an overwhelming surprise.
. . .
When the defiance of God’s law is almost universal, when His people are oppressed and afflicted by their fellow men, the Lord will interpose

Events are changing to bring about the day of God which hasteth greatly. Only a moment of time, as it were, yet remains. . .

As yet the four winds are held until the servants of God shall be sealed in their foreheads. Then the powers of earth will marshal their forces for the last great battle.
