성경의 진리를 우리 개인의 경험으로 만들어야 한다

우리가 성경의 진리를 우리 개인의 경험으로 만들지 않으면

단순히 안식일마다 설교를 듣고, 성경을 되풀이해서 통독하고, 성경절을 하나하나 설명하는 것 등이

우리와 우리의 말을 듣는 사람들에게 아무런 유익이 되지 못할 것이다.

이해력과 의지와 애정은 하나님의 말씀의 지배를 받아야 한다.

그렇게 될 때 성령의 역사로 말미암아 그 말씀의 교훈이 생애의 원칙으로 바뀌어질 것이다. 

그대가 주님께 도움을 구할 때,

그대가 그분의 축복을 받는다는 것을 믿음으로써 그대의 구주를 영화롭게 하라.

모든 지혜, 모든 능력은 우리의 마음대로 사용할 수 있게 되어 있다.

우리는 오직 구하기만 하면 된다. 

끊임없이 하나님의 빛 가운데서 걸어가라.

하나님의 품성을 밤낮 명상하라.

그리하면 그대는 주님의 아름다움을 보고, 그분의 선하심을 기뻐할 것이다.

그대의 마음은 하나님의 사랑을 깨닫고 불타오를 것이다.

그대는 마치 영원한 팔에 안겨 있는 것처럼 높이 들려질 것이다.

하나님께서 주시는 능력과 빛으로

그대는 그대가 전에 할 수 있으리라고 생각했던 것보다 훨씬 더 많은 것을 깨닫고

훨씬 더 많은 것을 성취하게 될 것이다.

We Have To Bring the Truths of the Bible into Our Individual Experience

The mere hearing of sermons Sabbath after Sabbath, the reading of the Bible through and through, or the explana­tion of it verse by verse, will not benefit us or those who hear us, unless we bring the truths of the Bible into our individual experience.

The understanding, the will, the affections, must be yielded to the control of the word of God. Then through the work of the Holy Spirit the precepts of the word will become the principles of the life. 

As you ask the Lord to help you, honor your Savior by believing that you do receive His blessing. All power, all wisdom, are at our command. We have only to ask.

Walk continually in the light of God. Meditate day and night upon His character. Then you will see His beauty and rejoice in His goodness. Your heart will glow with a sense of His love. You will be uplifted, as if borne by ever­lasting arms.

With the power and light that God imparts, you can comprehend more and accomplish more than you ever before deemed possible.
