죽은 사람들이 우리와 교통할 수 있는가?

“나는 공평으로 줄을 삼고 의로 추를 삼으니

우박이 거짓의 피난처를 소탕하며 물이 그 숨는 곳에 넘칠 것인즉

너희의 사망으로 더불어 세운 언약이 폐하며

음부로 더불어 맺은 맹약이 서지 못하여 넘치는 재앙이 유행할 때에

너희가 그것에게 밟힘을 당할 것이라” (사 28:17, 18). 

“온 세상에 임하여 땅에 거하는 자들을 시험할 때” (계 3:10) 가 우리 앞에 박두하였다. 
하나님의 말씀 위에 믿음을 굳게 세우지 아니한 모든 자들은 기만당하여 패배하게 될 것이다. 

사탄은 “불의의 모든 속임으로” 사람들을 지배하고 그의 속임수를 더 계속적으로 증가시킬 것이다. 
그러나 사탄은 사람들이 그의 유혹에 자원하여 넘어질 때에만 목적을 달성할 수 있다. 

진리의 지식을 열심으로 탐구하고 순종함으로써

그들의 심령을 정결케 하고자 애쓰고, 이와 같이 함으로 싸움을 위하여 준비하는 자들은

하나님의 진리 안에서 안전한 방어책을 발견할 것이다. 
구주께서는 “네가 나의 인내의 말씀을 지켰은즉 내가 또한 너를 지키” (계 3:10) 리라고 언약하신다. 

하나님께서는 당신을 신뢰하는 한 사람이 사탄에게 정복당하도록 버려두지 않으시고

당신의 백성을 보호하시고자 즉시 천사를 보내 주실 것이다. 

사탄은 오랫동안 온 세상을 기만하는 그의 마지막 운동을 위하여 준비하여 왔다. 

그는 에덴동산에서 “너희가 결코 죽지 아니하리라”,

“먹는 날에는 너희 눈이 밝아 하나님과 같이 되어 선악을 알” (창 3:4, 5) 리라고 하와에게 한 말로써

그의 사업의 기초를 놓았다. 

그는 강신술의 발전을 통하여 그의 기만의 절정을 향한 길을 한 걸음씩 준비해 왔다. 
그는 자신의 계획을 아직까지 완전히 성취하지 못하였다.

그러나 남아 있는 마지막 시기에 그것을 실현할 것이다. 

선지자는 다음과 같이 말한다.

“내가 보매 개구리 같은 세 더러운 영이… 나오니 저희는 귀신의 영이라

이적을 행하여 온 천하 임금들에게 가서

하나님, 곧 전능하신 이의 큰 날에 전쟁을 위하여 그들을 모으더라” (계 16:13, 14).

하나님의 말씀을 믿는 믿음을 통하여 하나님의 능력으로 보호를 받는 사람들을 제외하고

온 세상이 그 기만의 대열 속으로 휩쓸려 들어갈 것이다. 
사람들은 이 치명적인 기만에 굳게 사로잡혀 있다가 오직 하나님의 진노가 내릴 그때에야 깨어날 것이다.

Can Our Dead Speak to Us?

Just before us is “the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world,

to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Revelation 3:10. 
All whose faith is not firmly established upon the word of God

will be deceived and overcome. 

Satan “works with all deceivableness of unrighteousness”

to gain control of the children of men, and his deceptions will continually increase. 
But he can gain his object only as men voluntarily yield to his temptations. 

Those who are earnestly seeking a knowledge of the truth

and are striving to purify their souls through obedience,

thus doing what they can to prepare for the conflict,

will find, in the God of truth, a sure defense.

“Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee” (verse 10),

is the Saviour’s promise. 

He would sooner send every angel out of heaven to protect His people

than leave one soul that trusts in Him to be overcome by Satan.

Satan has long been preparing for his final effort to deceive the world. 

The foundation of his work was laid by the assurance given to Eve in Eden: 
“Ye shall not surely die.” 
“In the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,

knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4, 5. 

Little by little he has prepared the way for his masterpiece of deception

in the development of spiritualism.

He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs;

but it will be reached in the last remnant of time.

Says the prophet: “I saw three unclean spirits like frogs; ... they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world,

to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” Revelation 16:13, 14. 

Except those who are kept by the power of God, through faith in His word,

the whole world will be swept into the ranks of this delusion. 
The people are fast being lulled to a fatal security,

to be awakened only by the outpouring of the wrath of God.
