치료의 원천

질병과 고통과 사망은 대적하는 세력의 작품이다.

사탄은 파괴자이지만 하나님은 회복자이다. 

이스라엘에게 주신 “나는 너희를 치료하는 여호와임이니라”는 말씀은

신체적 건강이나 영혼의 건강을 회복하는 이들에게 오늘날도 진실하다. 

모든 인간을 향한 하나님의 열망이 다음의 말씀에 표현되어 있다. 

“사랑하는 자여 네 영혼이 잘됨같이 네가 범사에 잘되고 강건하기를 내가 간구하노라” (요삼 2). 

그분은 네 모든 죄악을 사하시며 네 모든 병을 고치시며 네 생명을 파멸에서 구속하시고

인자와 긍휼로 관씌우시는 분이다.

하나님의 치료하시는 능력은 천연계 전체 속으로 뻗어나간다. 

어떤 사람의 살이 베거나 뼈가 부러질 때,

자연의 힘은 상처를 고치기 위해 즉시 활동을 시작하여 사람의 생명을 보존한다.

그러나 인간은 자연의 힘이 방해를 받아 제 기능을 발휘할 수 없게 하는 위치에 스스로 처할 수도 있다…. 

만일 담배를 사용한다면…자연의 치유력은 다소 약화된다.…취하게 하는 음료를 사용할 때,

기관은 하나님께서 원래 치료자가 되도록 하신 능력을 갖고 질병에 대처할 수 없다.

자연적 능력이 탈진된 힘을 회복하기 위해 작용하도록 조치를 취하신 분은 하나님이다. 

그 능력은 하나님께 속한 것이다. 그분은 위대하신 치료자이다.

The Source of Healing

Sickness, suffering, and death are work of an antagonistic power. Satan is the destroyer; God is the Restorer.

The words spoken to Israel are true today of those who recover health of body or health of soul: “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” 

The desire of God for every human being is expressed in the words, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

He it is who “forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies.”

God’s healing power runs all through nature. 

If a human being cuts his flesh or breaks a bone, nature at once begins to heal the injury, and thus preserve the man’s life. 

But man can place himself in a position where nature is trammeled so that she cannot do her work.... 

If tobacco is used, ... the healing power of nature is weakened to a greater or less extent.... When intoxicating liquor is used, the system is not able to resist disease in its original God-given power as a healer. 

It is God who has made the provision that nature shall work to restore the exhausted powers. 

The power is of God. He is the Great Healer.
