“무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 그들은 곧 하나님의 아들이라
너희는 다시 무서워하는 종의 영을 받지 아니하였고 양자의 영을 받았으므로
아바 아버지라 부르짖느니라” (롬 8:14, 15절).
그리스도의 학교에서 우리가 배워야 할 교훈들 중 하나는
우리를 위한 주님의 사랑이 우리의 육신의 부모의 사랑보다 훨씬 더 크다는 사실이다.
우리는 그분을 믿는 의심 없는 믿음과 완전한 확신을 가져야 한다.
“성령이 친히 우리 영으로 더불어 우리가 하나님의 자녀인 것을 증거하시나니
자녀이면 또한 후사 곧 하나님의 후사요 그리스도와 함께 한 후사니
우리가 그와 함께 영광을 받기 위하여 고난도 함께 받아야 될 것이니라” (롬 8:16, 17절).
주께서 그대를 도우셔서
그대가 그리스도의 학교의 열심 있는 학생으로서
그대의 무거운 짐을 예수님께 내려놓는 법을 배우기를 바란다.
그리하여 만일 그대가 그분의 사랑 안에서 자유를 얻게 되면
그대는 위를 쳐다보고 이 난처한 시련들로부터 떠나게 될 것이다.
예수께서 그대를 위하여 무엇을 견디셨는지 생각해 보라.
그리고 그분의 영광에 그분과 함께 참여하는 자가 되기 위하여
그분의 고난에도 그분과 함께 참여하는 자가 되는 것이
그리스도인으로서 우리가 받은 유산의 부분임을 결코 잊지 말라.
“As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 14, 15.
One of the lessons that we are to learn in the school of Christ is that the Lord’s love for us is far greater than that of our earthly parents. We are to have unquestioning faith and perfect confidence in Him.
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 16, 17.
May the Lord help you, as a diligent student in the school of Christ, to learn to lay your burdens on Jesus.
And if you are free in His love, you will look above and away from these annoying trials.
Think of what Jesus has endured for you, and never forget that it is part of the legacy that we have received as Christians, to be partakers with Him of His sufferings, that we may be partakers with Him of His glory.
