*믿음과 용기*

하나님께서는 유혹 아래서 충성되게 설 자를 시험하기 위하여 시련들을 보내신다.
그분께서는 모든 사람들이 그들 자신의 외부에서 오는 힘과 그들을 초월한 힘을 의지하는지를 보기 위하여

모든 사람을 시험받는 위치로 들어가게 하신다.

각 사람은 시련을 통하여 빛으로 나오지 않으면 안 되는 품성의 특성들을 발견하지 못했다.
하나님께서는 자부심이 강한 자들이 그들의 속절없는 상태를 이해할 수 있게 하고자

심하게 시험을 받도록 허락하신다.

단순함과 믿음으로 예수님을 바라보라.

과도한 빛으로 심령이 피곤해질 때까지 예수님을 응시하라...
“구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요” (눅 11:9).
기도하라, 믿으라, 피차 간에 힘을 주라.

주께서 당신의 손을 그대들 위에 얹으셔서 지식에 넘치는 그리스도의 사랑을 알고

그 넓이와 길이와 높이와 깊이가 어떠함을 깨달아 하나님의 모든 충만하신 것으로 충만하게 되도록

이전에 결코 기도한 적이 없었던 것처럼 기도하라.

우리가 시련을 견디도록 부름을 받은 사실은

주 예수께서 계발시키고자 하시는 매우 귀중한 무엇인가가 우리 안에 있음을

그분께서 보고 계시다는 것을 입증한다...

그리스도께서는 쓸모없는 돌을 당신의 용광로 속으로 던지지 않으신다.

그분께서 시험하는 것은 귀중한 광석이다.

*Faith and Courage*

God sends trials to prove who will stand faithful under temptation.
He brings all into trying positions to see if they will trust in a power out of and above themselves.

Everyone has undiscovered traits of character that must come to light through trial.
God allows those who are self-sufficient to be sorely tempted, that they may understand their helplessness.

Look unto Jesus in simplicity and faith.
Gaze upon Jesus until the spirit faints under the excess of light...
“Ask, and it shall be given you.” Luke 11:9.
Pray, believe, strengthen one another.

Pray as you never before prayed that the Lord will lay His hand upon you, that you may be able to comprehend the length and breadth and depth and
height, and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The fact that we are called upon to endure trial proves that the Lord Jesus sees in us something very precious, which He desires to develop...
Christ does not cast worthless stones into His furnace. It is valuable ore that He tests.
