결과에 개의치 말고 옳은 일을 행하라 

어떤 이들은

"우리가 어떻게 이것을 할 수 있는가?

그렇게 하면 부도덕하고 교활한 자들이 우리를 이용하려고 들 것이다."라고 말할 수도 있다. 

제자는 그 스승의 뜻대로 해야 한다는 것을 명심하라.

우리는 결과는 추리하지 말아야 하는데,

그 이유는 결과에 집착하다 보면 우리는 언제나 바쁘고 불확실한 상태로 남을 수밖에 없기 때문이다. 

우리는 하나님의 말씀의 능력과 권위를 전적으로 인정하고,

그것이 우리의 선입견에 맞든지 안 맞든지 상관하지 않고 굳건히 서야 한다. 

우리에게는 완벽한 안내서가 있다.

주님이 우리에게 말씀하셨고,

결과가 어떻든 간에, 우리는 그의 말씀을 받아들이고 매일매일의 생활 속에서 실천해야 한다.

그렇게 하지 않으면 우리는 우리의 책임을 제멋대로 선택하고,

하늘 아버지께서 임명하신 것과 정반대되는 일들을 하게 될 것이다.

Do Right Regardless of Results

 Some will say,

“How can we do this?

We should be taken advantage of by the unprincipled and designing.” 

Remember that a disciple is to do the will of his master. We are not to reason in regard to results; for then we should be kept ever busy, and ever in uncertainty. 

We must take our stand to acknowledge fully the power and authority of God’s word, whether or not it agrees with our preconceived opinions. 

We have a perfect Guidebook. The Lord has spoken to us; and whatever may be the consequences, we are to receive His word and practice it in daily life, else we shall be choosing our own version of duty and shall be doing exactly the opposite of that which our heavenly Father has appointed us to do.
