내면에 있는 의

하나님께서는 당신과 더불어 일할 사람을 부르신다.

인간의 본성은 그리스도와 연결되면 순결하고 진실하여진다. 

그리스도께서 능률을 공급하시므로 사람은 선을 위한 능력을 발휘하는 자가 된다.

진실과 성실은 하나님의 속성이며, 이러한 속성을 소유한 자는 불패(不敗)의 능력을 소유한다.

내면에 있는 의는 외부에 나타나는 의로써 증명된다.

마음이 의로운 사람은 강퍅하거나 무정하지 않고

날마다 힘에 힘이 더하여지고 그리스도의 형상으로 자라난다.

진리로써 성결함을 받은 자는 자제할 것이며

영광의 나라에 이를 때까지 그리스도의 발자취를 따라갈 것이다. 

우리가 의롭다 하심을 받은 의는 입혀 주신 의요,

성화하게 하는 의는 그리스도께서 나눠 주시는 의이다.

전자는 하늘 나라에 들어갈 수 있는 증서이며

후자는 하늘 나라에서 살 수 있는 우리의 적합성이다.

Righteousness  Within

God calls for those who will be workers together with Him. Connected with Christ, human nature becomes pure and true. 

Christ supplies the efficiency, and man becomes a power for good. Truthfulness and integrity are attributes of God, and he who possesses these attributes possesses a power that is invincible.

Righteousness within is testified to by righteousness without. He who is righteous within is not hard-hearted and unsympathetic, but day by day he grows into the image of Christ, going on from strength to strength. He who is being sanctified by the truth will be self-controlled, and will follow in the footsteps of Christ until grace is lost in glory. 

The righteousness by which we are justified is imputed; the righteousness by which we are sanctified is imparted. The first is our title to heaven, the second is our fitness for heaven.
