우리는 내세를 위하여 준비하고 있다

현재의 생애에서 우리는 내세를 위하여 준비하고 있다. 

머지않아 큰 심사의 시간이 있을 것이다. 

그 때에, 그리스도인의 품성을 완성하려고 노력하고 있는 각 사람은

하나님의 엄격한 다음과 같은 질문의 시험을 통과해야 한다. 

즉, 그대들은 다른 사람들이 안전하게 따를 수 있는 좋은 모본을 보여주었는가?

그대들은 장차 회계(會計)해야 할 사람으로써 영혼들을 돌보아 왔는가? 

하늘 천사들은 청년들에게 관심을 가지고 있다.

그리고 그들은 그대들이 이 시험을 통과하고

“잘 하였도다 착하고 충성된 종아…네 주인의 즐거움에 참예할지어다”(마 25:21) 하는 인정의 말씀을

그대들이 듣게 되기를 간절히 바라고 있다.

청년들로 하여금 이곳에서 그들이 영생을 위한 품성을 이루어야 한다는 것과

하나님께서 그대들이 최선을 다할 것을 요구하신다는 것을 기억하게 하라. 

경험에 있어서 그들보다 선배되는 자들은 젊은 청년들을 지키라.

그리하여 그들이 시험을 당하는 것을 볼 때에는 그들을 다른 곳으로 이끌고 가서

그들과 함께 그리고 그들을 위하여 기도하라. 

하나님께서는 그리스도께서 구원하시기 위하여 오신 그 사람들의 구원에 관심을 나타냄으로써

우리를 위한 그리스도의 크신 희생을 우리로 인정하게 하기를 원하신다. 

청년들이 그리스도를 찾는다면, 그는 그들의 노력이 실효를 거두게 하실 것이다.

We are Preparing for the Future Life

In this life we are preparing for the future life. 

Soon there is to be a grand review, in which every soul who is seeking to perfect a Christian character must bear the test of God’s searching questions: 

Have you set an example that others were safe in following? Have you watched for souls as those that must give an account? 

The heavenly host are interested in the youth; and they are intensely desirous that you will bear the test, and that to you will be spoken the words of approval, “Well done, good and faithful servant; ... enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

Let the youth remember that here they are to build characters for eternity, and that God requires them to do their best. 

Let those older in experience watch over the younger ones; and when they see them tempted, take them aside, and pray with them and for them. 

The Lord would have us recognize the great sacrifice of Christ for us by showing an interest in the salvation of those He came to save. 

If the youth will seek Christ, He will make their efforts effectual.
