그분께서 시험하는 것은 귀중한 광석이다

우리가 시련을 견디도록 부름을 받은 사실은 주 예수께서 계발시키고자 하시는 매우 귀중한 무엇인가가

우리 안에 있음을 그분께서 보고 계시다는 것을 입증한다. 

만일 그분께서 당신의 이름을 영화롭게 할 것이 우리 안에 아무것도 없음을 보셨다면

그분께서는 우리를 연단하는 데 시간을 보내지 않으실 것이다. 

우리는 가시덤불을 전정하는 데 특별한 수고를 하지 않는다.

그리스도께서는 쓸모없는 돌을 당신의 용광로 속으로 던지지 않으신다.

그분께서 시험하는 것은 귀중한 광석이다.

대장장이는 철과 강철이 어떤 종류의 금속인지 알기 위하여 그것들을 불 속에 넣는다. 

주께서는 당신의 택한 자들이 어떤 기질로 이루져 있는지,

당신의 사업을 위하여 그들을 꼴짓고 형성할 수 있는지 보시기 위하여

고난의 풀무 속에 놓여지도록 허락하신다.

It Is Valuable one That He Tests

The fact that we are called upon to endure trial proves that the Lord Jesus sees in us something very precious, which He desires to develop. 

If He saw in us nothing whereby He might glorify His name He would not spend time in refining us. 

We do not take special pains in pruning brambles. Christ does not cast worthless stones into His furnace. It is valuable one that He tests.

The blacksmith puts the iron and steel into the fire that he may know what manner of metal they are. 

The Lord allows His chosen ones to be placed in the furnace of affliction in order that He may see what temper they are of and whether He can mold and fashion them for His work.
