얻어야 할 큰 승리

우리에게는 얻어야 할 큰 승리가 있다.

그것을 얻지 못할 때는 하늘을 잃어버릴 것이다. 

육신의 마음은 십자가에 못 박혀야 한다.

그 경향은 도덕적 부패로 기울어지는 것이고, 그 종국은 죽음이기 때문이다. 

생명을 주는 복음의 감화 외에는 아무것도 영혼을 도울 수 없다. 

성령의 강력한 능력이

소생시키고, 회복시키고, 변화시키는 능력을 모두 가지고서 전기의 충격처럼 마비된 심령에 임하여

모든 신경을 새 생명으로 전율케하고

세속적이요, 죽은 정욕적 상태에서 영적 완전으로 전인적 (全人的) 회복을 이루어 주시도록

기도하라. 

그렇게 함으로써 그대들은 신의 성품에 참여하는 자가 되어,

정욕으로 인하여 세상에서 썩어질 것을 피하게 될 것이다. 

그리고 그대들의 심령에는 그대들을 고치기 위하여 채찍에 맞으신 분의 형상이 반영될 것이다.

The Great Victories To Gain

We have great victories to gain, and a heaven to lose if we do not gain them.

The carnal heart must be crucified; for its tendency is to moral corruption, and the end thereof is death. 

Nothing but the life-giving influences of the gospel can help the soul. 

Pray that the mighty energies of the Holy Spirit, with all their quickening, recuperative, and transforming power, may fall like an electric shock on the palsy-stricken soul, causing every nerve to thrill with new life, restoring the whole man from his dead, earthly, sensual state to spiritual soundness. 

You will thus become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust; and in your souls will be reflected the image of Him by whose stripes you are healed.
