그리스도와 함께 하는 생애에는 실패가 없음을 세상이 보게 하라

 

우리는 스스로 우리가 당한 시험과 어려움과 불행과 슬픔을 기록해 둘 필요가 없다. 

이 모든 것은 다 하늘 책에 기록되어 하늘에 보존되어 있다.

그런데, 우리는 마음에 원치 않는 불행한 일들을 기억하지만, 

시시 각각으로 우리를 돌보시는 하나님의 자비와 인자, 그리고 천사들도 기이히 여기는, 

하나님께서 우리를 위하여 그 아들을 죽게 하신 그 사랑, 이러한 아름다운 많은 것들에 대해서는 잊어버린다.

 

만일, 그리스도인 일꾼인 그대가 다른 사람보다 더 큰 근심과 시험을 당한 줄로 생각되거든, 

그런 어려움들을 피한 자들이 도저히 알지 못하는 참 평안함이 그대를 위하여 있음을 기억하라. 

그리스도의봉사 사업에는 위로와 기쁨이 있다. 

그리스도와 더불어 함께 하는 생애에는 실패가 없음을 세상 사람들이 보게 하라.

 

마음 가운데 평안함과 기쁨이 없더라도 그대의 마음 가운데 있는 것을 다른 사람에게 말하지 말라.

다른 사람의 생애에 그늘을 던지지 말라. 

냉랭하고 빛이 없는 신앙은 결코 영혼들을 그리스도께로 인도하지 못한다. 

오히려, 그들을 그리스도에게서 몰아내어, 

길에 방황하는 자들로 걸리게 하려고 사단이 쳐 놓은 그물에 걸리게 한다.

 

그대의 연약함을 생각하는 대신에, 그리스도의 이름으로 정당히 요구할 수 있는 능력을 생각하라. 

그대의 상상력을 보이지 않는 사물에 돌리며, 

그대의 생각을 하나님께서 그대에게 베푸시는 위대한 사랑의 증거들로 향하게 하라.

믿음은 능히 시험을 이기고 유혹을 물리치며 낙망을 견딘다. 

예수님은 우리의 대언자로 계시나, 그분의 중보 사업은 다 우리를 위함이다.

Let the World See that Life with Christ is No Failure

 

We need not keep our own record of trials and difficulties, griefs, and sorrows. All these things are written in the books, and heaven will take care of them.

While we are counting up the disagreeable things, many things that are pleasing to reflect upon are passing from memory; such as the merciful kindness of God surrounding us every moment, and the love over which angels marvel, that God gave His Son to die for us.

If as workers for Christ you feel that you have had greater cares and trials than have fallen to the lot of others, remember that for you there is a peace unknown to those who shun these burdens. There is comfort and joy in the service of Christ. Let the world see that life with Him is no failure.

 If you do not feel light-hearted and joyous, do not talk of your feelings. Cast no shadow upon the lives of others. A cold, sunless religion never draws souls to Christ. It drives them away from Him, into the nets that Satan has spread for the feet of the straying.

Instead of thinking of your discouragements, think of the power you can claim in Christ’s name. Let your imagination take hold upon things unseen. Let your thoughts be directed to the evidences of the great love of God for you.

Faith can endure trial, resist temptation, bear up under disappointment. Jesus lives as our advocate. All is ours that His mediation secures.
